How far did u stretch it back? You are a super dope dad for doing that with your son. I am a new dad also. Cant wait to do kool stuff with my son also.
Thank you so much! I'm the kid with the bike actually..HA!! My dad is the best, I'll let him know what you said. He's going to really appreciate it, man. I wish I could see your Grom too!
@@jelle8754 balance point is alot higher. stand ups are easy to get up but you have to really snatch it even with my 45t sprocket for sit downs. but when your in a group of big bikes stunting its cool having the same wheel base and seeing your front tire as high as theirs lol
That is one bad a** Grom!!! Looking at one of these for my daughters first bike. We are going to skip the pedal bike and go straight to this. Great job and awesome parenting!!! :)
I really like the design of the exhaust but from what I've researched, its quite loud. I was wondering if you could explain in more detail how you made your copper baffles for the exhaust?
Did the old stock exhaust have a cat that you did not use with the new exhaust. So, you lowered it and made the wheel base longer. He looks like he is sitting to far forward on the bike. The knock against the bike is the soft shocks and the seating position.
Hi. Thanks for sharing the video. Could you tell me where you bought all the accessories. I liked how is your Honda Grom. My daughter wants to change her motorcycle. Thank you. and discuss the inconvenience.
Now u gotta lower the front. It's easy just loosen the trpple claps and slide the forks up and re tighten. be careful not to over tighten. just snug it very evenly and slowly.
We will shoot a little mini video of just the tail part, and try to best explain how I did it. More or less looked up how to remove the fender part and took a Dremel to it, but that left an opening facing backwards. So, I covered that with styrene plastic that I screwed to it. Basically just didn't want to remove any of the stock plastic, except for the back fender part. When we do the video I'll do some close up shots of the back and maybe that will help you.
I don't even have a Grom But Damn😍😍😍I have A Yamaha SZ 2017 the white-darkpurplish blue model it's 150cc Hope I'll get it modded the same way you did it except for the lowering part😬🤪
why would you stretch a grom just wondering i could understand lowering it of a lower center of gravity tbh tho it does look preittty dope i would put some dual sport tires on it
Only problem I see is that you have got the chain tensioner fully forward instead of back. What you gonna do when the chain starts to stretch ? Other than that it looks good.
Take a look at it agin it's installed properly. When you losen your axel nuts, and then rotate the allen screw clockwise it pulls the axel back tightening your chain. So I've got a good inch and a half of adjustment.
Did you lower the front with lowering springs or is it stock and just lowered the rear? Looks great, looking into a Grom for my wife to learn on and she is 5' flat.
Hi you guys I like this video. I actually give me ideas as to what I may what to do to my bike but what I have is not a from but I would love to do the same upgrades you did on this on to mine. I would like some of you help and expert though thanks for your response..
Grom looks sick guys. Great father son bonding. I know others are thinking it but I’ll be the one to ask. How old is your boy. Can he legally ride on the street? Just asking. Not that we all haven’t riden on the street way before legally aloud haha 😎🤟🏼
The stretch kit is from Steady Garage, it is Chimera adjustable stretch extension blocks. The lowering kit (4.5 inch), the gold chain, chain breaker Composimo Fabrication. The new handle bars, (shown in the next video) are from also from Composimo Fabrication. Thank you!
I'm all for getting your kids into riding... But considering the Grom is smaller, quieter, and overall harder to notice, I would suggest a color that doesn't blend in perfectly with the road. A lot of riders stress that Groms are terrible starter bikes for this reason. A 300cc would be a bit louder, bigger, and has enough power to get out of a sticky situation if you need to create some distance. If a less experienced rider is going to get a Grom, I suggest a bright color that will keep you noticed on the road, atleast until you get some instincts and can predict what idiots are going to do on the road. Obviously, it all comes down to the rider and how responsible they are. Your kids may be very well qualified, I don't know, but just wanted to point it out.
I feel like Dad got son a Grom so dad could customize it lol
This guy is the best dad ever...
Cat The Dog yep, lucky kids..
Worst.. Building it yourself is the best part build drive break repeat you wont learn if you Dont do it
He let his son ride off wearing shorts and a t-shirt, that is soooo unsafe.
Yeah the best dad ever let’s his kid ride on the street with no protective gear other than a helmet
Brent Addie calm down Oprah
Extended arm on grom makes it look like normal bike length. xD
s14duma it makes it look like he's B U S A bro
Dad of the year! Nice job. I love everything about this build.
What a blessing to have a Dad like you👍
This is the cleanest upgrade video i've seen so far
How far did u stretch it back? You are a super dope dad for doing that with your son. I am a new dad also. Cant wait to do kool stuff with my son also.
This comment is 4 years old. Do ever still think about this video?
I wish my dad did stuff like this, never had anything from him..
Coolest dad ever!
Nice vid!! And it shows your a cool dad!!!
Looks good man. Really like the fact your doing all this for & with your kids. I wish you could see my grom you'd love it.
Thank you so much! I'm the kid with the bike actually..HA!! My dad is the best, I'll let him know what you said. He's going to really appreciate it, man. I wish I could see your Grom too!
Grom looks great! Sounds good too, but I'm curious... why the extended swingarm? The Grom has 9hp lol!
(Oh, sweet classic car in the garage too)
Boris on Bikes maybe he doesn’t want his son to wheelie period
@@minecraftketin i stunt a stretched grom
@@270_dino5 i've Always wondered, how do stretched groms handle with stunting? especially for wheelies.

@@270_dino5 great! Do you have Instagram or something where I can see your grom?

lucky young man. ride safe
I love what you guys did to that sick bike.
Literally best dad ever
I wish my dad would help me like that. That's one nice ride in the back ground. Bike looks clean just slightly moded look like it the way to go.💯👍✌️👌
Best looking grom I've seen good Job!
My dad won't let me upgrade things on my grom. You're a great dad
That SUCKS!! Yeah my dad's pretty awesome!
you guys should swap out the handle bars too... but the bike looks really good... pretty cool that you can do this kinda stuff with your son bro..
Oh yeah we did, just been swamped! I really need to make the next video.
Cant wait for my Son to be born, and grow up so I can do things like this with him.
Is your son born yet?
Yo Bryan where the kids at bruh? Pop a couple sons out bro
That is one bad a** Grom!!! Looking at one of these for my daughters first bike. We are going to skip the pedal bike and go straight to this. Great job and awesome parenting!!! :)
Harley Dave hell yeah!
I bought my daughter a DRZ-70 and a Grom to grow into already lol.
Well done dad, excellent video! Cool kids!
New to your channel, enjoying this first video I watched. Looking for the second part...
What a badass dad! Be thankful kid!
I personally prefer it stock but we all have our own tastes.
That looks sick dude love that sound too
Maybe aftermarket dirt bike handle bars of a 80 or something but gotta move the throttle cable for
Pretty bad ass and Yeah you always have to cut that fender to make it fit proper
Looks a bit like a ducati diavel now. Beautiful

6:16 did the dad say “sicko mode” before the song was even created??
Bravo dad! Where is the daughter/sister bike build?
Exhaust looks real saucy 👌🏽💯

What a great sound, love it nice job👍
Can you put the parts you bought and where you bought them from, the stretch and the lowering kit please.
now that is what you call VERY nice. talking job well done.
It would be nice if you showed us the work and not just the finished product. I could watch pictures of finished groms all day if I wanted to.

Thumbs UP!!

Just posted part 2!
Your a cool dad to do that for and with your son. Awesome. :-)
Why is the dad so much cooler than the kids?
I don’t see your son drag racing his grom😂😂 so why the extended swing arm
Just realized you live in my city haha, saw the Ken and Joe's license plate.
Cody Saunders Amy just came from there.
Did you have to upgrade the brake line for the stretch and how many links did you go with the chain?
Do they have mods to lift it higher off the ground?
Awsome bike man.
Coming from a Ducati Monster owner.
What lower cowl is that? Looks nice!
Where did you get the 4.5 lowering kit and the extentions
Exelent make over, good eye.

How many link chain did u buy
Sweet!!!! Looks nice man!
Wow i loved it next upgrade
Did you need to get a longer brake line for the longer swingarm? Looks really good.
what stretch and lowering kit is that, wondering if it would work with the TOCE exhaust.
I wish u could share the link and price of the tool
Where did you get the air deflector in front of engine behind front wheel
IS THAT STORM TROOPER ARMOR ON THAT TABLETOP?!?!?!
Before you put the baffles in the exhaust how was the back pressure on it? Do you have any problems idling?
why would you stretch a grom just wondering i could understand lowering it of a lower center of gravity tbh tho it does look preittty dope i would put some dual sport tires on it
If you lower a Grom more than 2.5" you have to stretch the swingarm in order to not hit the tire with the link.
I can’t find this exhaust anywhere, can you drop a link?
Can u post a link for the exhaust. Also did you have to change the tuning or air intake
Looks great good job.
sounds like my Honda poweded pressure washer hahahahhah
Is the front forks lowered in this video?

Did I miss it or did you need to get longer brake lines?
Where did you find the lowering kit? It hasn't popped up on my searches.
Looks like you live in Corona, CA. lol. Looks very similar to my neighborhood.
Did you lower the front with lowering springs or is it stock and just lowered the rear? Looks great, looking into a Grom for my wife to learn on and she is 5' flat.
Have any links to where you bought all your MODS?

You should leave links to all the upgrades :)
Were did u get that exhaust? Different.. A little loud.
What is the name of the swing arm Extensions
can you still wheelie with a stretched grom, what lower cowl is that

How much did these mods cost? Really interested in buying a Grom and those modes really made a difference to the bike!
Hey I have a question! What kind and where did your get your/your sons helmet?!?
How exactly did you make the fender eliminator?
