Also now that I’m done with the video man, good recap. Thanks for sharing what didn’t work. Tough course! This layout makes me think that a breakaway would be really hard because the straights are so long. But at the same time the corners make the slinky so much worse so it’s easy to snap people off the back. Could you have used your energy from the first prime attack to land in 6-10th position, and try to hold that-would that have smoothened out those power surges for you?
Thanks Paul! It was a tough and not-so-smooth course. I think a small breakaway ended up getting away in the last few laps (forgot to mention that). But you're absolutely right. It was very easy to get shelled off the back if you weren't careful and ready to stomp on the pedals. And yeah, I definitely think if I didn't go into the pits and didn't get caught behind the crash, being in the top 10 during the last quarter of the race would have been a lot more manageable. Hope to see you at some crits this year!
Thanks for doing the importance of the $100 prime. Because not only is it number of six packs, you’re also not limited to milwaukees best. You can get glass bottles. Or even a few fancy 4x 16oz small microbrew packs. Pinkies up.
