I just bought a Huion H610 pressure sensitive tablet for $60 the other day. I just can't believe how cool it is. So much cheaper than the Wacom products.
Can't wait to get this! I like metal and soon to be a future Blacksmith and I love to draw swords and stuff like that! This will help me when I print it out instead of weird strokes of a pencil.
Got this today for Christmas it takes a bit to get used to I use it for photo editing and osu, i have used it for around 20 mins and am getting better awesome piece of technology for the price
You saved me man! I'm a serious digital artist and was looking for a new tablet and thought this would be good but I don't think this is right for me! Thanks!
MrRiNo Yeah i really like it so far! :) Already started drawing some stuff in Ilustrator and Photoshop, and at the first few days you have to get used to it, but now after a week i already created some nice stuff with it :) So i would defenetly recommend it!
Don't get why everyone's concern is the size. You can still draw on a small tablet. I had a medium one that recently broke down, so I sniped this for $30 online. Its a couple centimeters shorter, but who cares? If your an artist, you could learn with a mouse if you wanted to.
Im getting this tablet soon and im really excited. I was using a Monoprice tablet before and it did the job but its nice to get a more high-end tablet for animation :). A tip for beginner tablet users who are used to drawing on paper: add a sheet of paper on top of your tablet's workplace, it will feel more natural and controlled.
The standard nibs wear down incredibly easy and scratches the surface. I use the flex nibs as they last a lot longer on the surface of the CTH-480 and don't damage it.
Is this still good in 2019 for drawing? I’m wanting to use it for digital art and osu!. Or would it be better to go with the CTL-4100? Will the CTH-480 be outdated soon? Thanks.
I just got this tablet in the mail today and it is wonderful. My previous tablet had a surface well over twice the size of the small pen and touch and I cannot tell the difference. Granted, my previous tablet was not the best in the market but personally I think size doesn't matter with this tablet. it. The design is simple, sleek, practical and the moment I tested it out in photo shop I fell in love~
Well done. Consise, efficient, thorough, and wonderfully recorded and edited. It especially gave me a feel for how big the active area is, since when I drew boxes on a piece of paper to represent them, I got a bit wary of the small size. Now I can see it's not so bad. Thanks!
i found it. and i look so stupid there is literarly a button made for that. thanks! but i have one more question. when i install the driver? i am not able to open it and i can't change any of the settings. i have looked that up and i have seen that i am not the only one suffering from this problem. do you know how can i fix that?
@@imane5971 I know this is old, but the switch at the top that the OP said is for wireless is not for wireless and is in fact for the touch portion, I turned it off.

Thank you. This was extremely helpful! I read some reviews on the amazon page and they made me feel uneasy about the product. I was also unclear about the texture and in most of the reviews it said it had a strange texture. That set me off from buying it because I didn't really hear a clear description of the texture. Once I heard it had a paper-ish texture from this video, I felt very safe about the tablet, because it sounded like the same texture as my old tablet. Thanks for this review.
The Manga comes with Manga Studio Debut 4 and Anime Studio Debut 8 included. This one comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Autodesk Sketchbook Express, Artrage 3 Studio and Nik Color Efex Pro WE3.
I know this is kind of a dumb question can I do graphic design stuff and draw manga characters? I don't know much about the software that comes with it... I need it to do all kinds of drawings and whatnot.
Yes you can I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend getting a program called paint tool sai, it's amazing ^_^ and my favourites but it's up to you what program you find most comfortable
Hi CamCrunch, thanks for you help. I'm brand new to this tablet idea and can't wait to get one but I have one question... I need to be able to draw doodle borders that would be for a 8 1/2 x 11" template. Can I do that top to bottom or will I have to work in sections? I'm not familiar with how the spacing works on these in Photoshop. I look forward to your drawing video! Also, can I use this with Illustrator CS5?
My mom just surprised me by letting me order one for Christmas from Amazon-it'll be here on Christmas Eve!! It'll be my very first drawing tablet so I'm really excited to get it!! :D
What software did you use there was it the software you get with this tablet? Plus I'd like to know what video production software you used to make the video or suggestions pleeaseee.
I'm minoring in graphic design next year and I do a lot of web design as well as photo editing and just general graphic design stuff, do you think I would benefit from this tablet? I would love to try one out!
Just wanted to say thanks for this review! I found it very helpful and it answered a lot of the questions I had. This review has confirmed for me that I will be purchasing this tablet very soon. Thank you :)
Video is a little old now, but it was still useful! I was thinking of upgrading my Bamboo Splash to the manga version of this tablet but you mentioned near the end it might be best to skip. What then would you recommend? Mine works fine and all (granted I've had to retire the cord) but with new tech coming out all the time I thought it might be time. I don't mind a small size, that's what I've been working with for the past 10 years and don't care about touch features, but I'd really like that wireless option... Thanks in advance!
Does this model come with photoshop and the other software that the bamboo included? Because that's really a factor on whether or not I buy a new intuos or a used bamboo. (I'm actually planning on going and buying this tomorrow evening lol so please respond soon!)
i have this thing, and i have to say, for what you pay for the damned thing, it shouldnt SCREW UP as much as it does, requiring you to have to reinstall stupid drivers and stuff! VERY annoying to be sitting down ready to use it and oops.. it's bouncing all over the screen and other ridiculous crap. Just for the curious, my computer and product are supposed to be compatible, (according to the box) and all the other specs the tablet requires. My issue is that unless you update the tablets drivers constantly you won't be able to sit down and use it without it screwing up and ruining your artistic mood.
I rarely use photoshop but do a lot of vector drawings in illustrator, not professional just as a hobby, would this tablet be good for that or should I get an intuos pro? I saw a medium one of these and a small intuos pro for the same price and am trying to decide which would be best, thoughts?
I am looking to pick up a tablet from Wacom here in the near future. It will be my first one ever, as I want to get into animation/ drawing on the computer side. I was looking at the new lineup of Intuos 5. Could you help me understand the main differences bewtween the "Intuous Pen and Touch (MED) and the Intus Pro (MED)? I read up on some of them, but being new to this area I don't quite understand why I would buy a Pro over the Pen and Touch. Thank you advance for your assistance.
Never buy this tablet. I'm constantly having to re-install drivers that only occasionally fix the lag issue that I experience whenever I use this tablet. It is the worst piece of technology that I own and would rather chop off my hand then continue using this junk
Excellent review. What about using this for white boarding and not for photo editing? Would you recommend it as well? What about the software to use? Thanks!
I have scratches on my Tablet. Does this type of tablet have like the Surface Sheet replacement thing? The scratches are really bothering when I'm drawing and I really want to fix that :(.
Very helpful review! I tested the old generation Bamboo at my friends' and was wondering where those went, so that additional information about the brand changes was really nice as well!
Hello! Wonderful video. I've been drawing traditionally on and off for around 7 years and I'm really tempted to start drawing digitally. I don't want anything too expensive as I only want to be able to draw now and then when I feel like it, I'm not sure if I want to spend 150 dollars on one.. You said it was okay for sketching, but does that include coloring, shading..? I'm not sure how important pen pressure is, but is it good enough and will the lines still be smooth etc?
I haven't gotten any lag, and the circle that keeps coming up is only if you hold it in place for longer than a second. You can turn that off if you want to but it's a handy feature when you're not sure where your cursor is.
One thing I want to add, is for me, drawing with the tablets is a little different if I were to be drawing with a pencil and a piece of paper. I feel like you can easily make changes that you wouldn't be able to make if you didn't have it. But it does take about a week or so to get use to, but that differs from person to person.
I got it from my sister on christmas, and i have used it all day in a 30 day trial of Flash, and it seks good so far. Tales time to Get used to, but now i think it is very good. Buy this if you think you would start art or animation, you can Get a Long way with it!
Excellent and very straightforward review. It did help me to make my mind about what graphic tablet to buy... and that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much indeed.
I have the very first bamboo tablet, which only has 512 pressure levels, 4x6 active area and no touch features. I was curious as to whether this would make a good upgrade from that since I am going to school for multimedia and graphic design or if I should save up and get an intuos pro? Feedback would be much appreciated.
Hey im buying my first tablet and feel this model is the most suited to my needs/price range. Im not doing professional art however enjoy doing comic/manga style art. Id be using the tablet for drawing mostly but dont know whether to buy this version or the manga version. Does anyone have any recommendations it would be really helpful!
Well done! Simple, short and lets you know pretty much all you need to know. I really like what they've done to the look and I also love the fact that you can change the blue parts to black. I can't stand blue.
Awesome review, man. One question: Has anyone used this on adobe illustrator? If so, How does it work? Anything you would recommend that might cost a bit more but has more features? I'm still a beginner so i think this would be great, but just want to be aware of some other options. Thank you again.
CamCrunch, thank you for the review. Good job. I'll be getting this thanks to you, rather than spending more for a larger or more feature packed version. Only using it for re-touching with PS LR etc..
I was wondering what that tab thing on the top was. They really cheaped out on the pen holder. Some of the older tablets have the round base where you can stick your pen in so the tip doesn't get damaged allowing you to store the nibs inside. Personally I don't like it if I have to stick my pen ontop of my tablet and then have to pull it out everytime I need it. I prefer grabbing my pen from the round base which is faster for storage and retrieval.
Great review, thanks! I'm still trying to decide between this one or the cheaper basic Wacom Pen Graphics Tablet. I'm thinking this one must be better for all the extras and that the eraser must be really useful when drawing and sketching. I see that you rest your hand on the tablet when drawing, which is what I do. Does that ever cause problems with the pressure of the side of the hand? Any other advice would be useful before I order (I've never used a graphics tablet before by the way).
Nice review thank you, thinking to upgrade from my old bamboo play.... How did you get enable the setting in lightroom so you get a black mark to show where you are using the healing command ?
Seriously considering replacing my old Volito with this one. The poor thing's dying, plus people keep using it as a mouse pad. You mentioned that the surface isn't like the Bamboo's, which I gathered was abrasive compared to this one's glossier surface. I put off buying the Bamboo since I do a lot of digital drawing, and I heard the paper-y surface ate the nib fast. Now, I just need to see this one in action and the Volito can retire. Thanks for the very informative review.
Thanks for your effort. Nice review. Only queestion remaining is wether one needs the 2048 pressure levels or not ... hard to solve for a tablet beginner
Ah, this is so helpful! I had the bamboo capture tablet but it got damaged so i was looking at the intuos pen and touch and was worried about the size.
Still the best osu tablet, I bought the 472 then returned it after getting a used 480 on eBay. The 480 pen is much more comfortable because it has a nicer outer surface (grippier and smooth as opposed to the 472's cheap feeling hard plastic) and is also a bit wider than the toothpick 472, exaggeration of course but u get my point. 480 tablet also feels and looks more premium. It you play osu primarily or will sink in a lot of hours, dont listen to the people saying 472 and 480 is the same. Its worth getting the 480 just for the pen alone, and used 480s can sell for the same price if you get lucky
Thanks very much for the review! Have you ever used the Apex fine point stylus by Lynktec? I have one and really like it for my iPad. I've heard really good things about the Wacom products though, and wondered if you've ever compared the two. Thanks!
I purchased this CTH-480 today, it does not come in English to register, unfortunately I don't have the product key or the CD what can I do besides use the trial version.
Good review... been looking at a few models to replace my old MTE-450, and almost no reviews cover simple stuff like if it has buttons and how many, or what options the pen has. Thanks. Now to decide CTH480 or CTH680. :)
Very nice review. One question I have is as a photographer (not an illustrator or painter) do you think 1024 pressure lvl is enough? or should I go for the 2048? Im looking into upgrade my old bamboo which only has 512 lvl. thanks!
I just bought a Huion H610 pressure sensitive tablet for $60 the other day. I just can't believe how cool it is. So much cheaper than the Wacom products.
ah yes, i still have this... my mom bought this exact model for my 10th birthday present... and it's been 6 years now...
same haha
Can't wait to get this! I like metal and soon to be a future Blacksmith and I love to draw swords and stuff like that! This will help me when I print it out instead of weird strokes of a pencil.
I wish all reviews were so informational and straight to the point. Thanks a lot for the clear and informational video.
you have the voice of 'Sid' from the movie ICE AGE ! so cute !
so gay*
Creepy but ok
Got this today for Christmas it takes a bit to get used to I use it for photo editing and osu, i have used it for around 20 mins and am getting better awesome piece of technology for the price
haha so did i :D
Z3NTR0 I also got this for Christmas but still waiting for Amazon to bring it :3
The switch on top is not to turn off and on the tablet, it is for enabling and disabling the touch mode.
And it contains the holder for the pen holder.
Short, sweet, and very informative. I love it!
You saved me man! I'm a serious digital artist and was looking for a new tablet and thought this would be good but I don't think this is right for me! Thanks!
Do you think size small is enough? Im thinking about buying one, and cant decide if i should get small or medium
I just ordered small on amazon though xD but if its to small i can just send it back so its no problem :D
Nade I ordered the small version. I think it should be enough.
Yeah me too :) Mine arrived 2 days ago and i like it so far, i think its the perfect size!
Nade Hey, how's going with this tablet? Do you like him?
MrRiNo Yeah i really like it so far! :)
Already started drawing some stuff in Ilustrator and Photoshop, and at the first few days you have to get used to it, but now after a week i already created some nice stuff with it :)
So i would defenetly recommend it!

there's also 3 pen nib sticking at the back of the middle door

Should i buy small tablelet with touch or withour touch? For playing osu! Plz help me

Is there difference between this and the Manga version?

Just the software it comes with
Okay thanks :)
did you even watched the video!?!?

Very nice review. I'm getting one of these in a Canon camera promotion, with Lightroom / Photoshop as well. Should be fun to play with!
I'm getting this tomorrow and i'm really excited!!! its gonna be my first tablet :D
Very good review, just what I needed to make a decision, thanks!!
if only this were still sold in the U.S. must get for osu!
I had my sister bought this from Singapore vacation trip, got it today :D
Nice review thank you, thinking to upgrade from my old bamboo play....
How did you get enable the setting in lightroom so you get a black mark to show where you are using the healing command ?
Mostly many people don't know where the 3 extra pen nibs are, there in the the middle tab that opens in the back of it there it is.
Really nice review :) just what I wanted to know about the new line,
thanks a lot!!!
Thanks!
I don't get how you draw lines when there's no display on the tablet
I purchased this CTH-480 today, it does not come in English to register, unfortunately I don't have the product key or the CD what can I do besides use the trial version.
Good review... been looking at a few models to replace my old MTE-450, and almost no reviews cover simple stuff like if it has buttons and how many, or what options the pen has. Thanks. Now to decide CTH480 or CTH680. :)
Very nice review. One question I have is as a photographer (not an illustrator or painter) do you think 1024 pressure lvl is enough? or should I go for the 2048? Im looking into upgrade my old bamboo which only has 512 lvl. thanks!
1024 is plenty!
