I'm not one of those, but some people buy early just in case prices go up haha. For example Ai SSP was actually listed at $600-700 on release and now we're looking at $1k. Some SRs were sub $10 on release and now $20+. Maybe it'll go down in the future who knows, but I guess people don't want to take the risk, especially in the case of Ai here. In general though, yes it is most definitely better to wait, unless you absolutely can't for whatever reason. Playsets as always are $250+ on release. Now you can pickup all the cards off of tcgplayer for maybe $180, maybe $150 ish if you can find a deal on facebook or discord.
i totally understand that but the first day and few days before, there are always places that sell these cards for lower. after that first week, month, year, it comes down to how many are out there and how bad someone wants it. i think what bothers me is the laziness. i just remember shopping around for birthday or christmas gifts. amazing that people will just stop at tcgplayer and call it a day. but if they have the money, then they are free to do as they please. i just know some people fomo or dont know where to look.
as Joshua mentioned Weiss Schwarz Global on facebook. there are actually a bunch of FB groups. just search weiss schwarz. ebay has some cheaper prices.
I don't have anything to add, but... Good video. Have a like.
