I live just north of Conroe but south of Huntsville. It was a straight downpour from about 2:30am to around 7am. Lake Conroe is up about 6 feet, flooding a lot of lakeside houses and marinas. Boat ramps are unrecognizable. Some side streets are flooded over. Overall, the flooding where I'm at is not bad. but down in Conroe just below the Lake Conroe dam is going to be real bad.
Now Why Does The Storm Clouds Look So Unnatural?
Because they are unnatural. The weather wars are upon us.

This is crazy! Many lakes in Central Texas are dangerously low heading into summer. Stillhouse is 13 feet low, Buchanan is 25ft low, Travis and O.C. Fisher are over 50 ft low!!!
Obviously, the main thing is lost again - who decided not to release water from Lake Conroe BEFORE THE RAIN? And now we return to the circus with clowns.

And YES, I do live here in Texas where flooding is taking place. One thing I've learned after 67 years here is, you have to keep up your sense of humor (and your National Flood Insurance).

Hopefully you have good drainage. How big are those towns? Is it 6 ft above flood level or it's at 6 ft above normal but hasn't been breached? That's the question, are the dams going to breach? You know what I am going to say next Water and toilet paper. Staples of the American crisis.
