Hmmm. Getting worse every year.
I'd like to say to the people of Texas what they said to Californians during last year's massive floods on the West Coast: THIS MUST BE GOD'S WILL.
The mind boggles as to what the good folks of Texas have been up to for thug god to visit his favoured means of mass destruction on them.
Only difference is that we know how to handle this, we can afford to, and our local/state government is more than willing to help us.
Insurance companies and federal flood insurance rates will be scrutinized again and could cause similar Florida insurance problems. California has assigned risk homeowners insurance.

Well in the Bible. It does speak about the last days. Around this time a lot of earthquakes, flooding (water), nature disasters. Means only days til Christ return's.

But it does show that there is still a significant current to the water, which is what washes your car off the road....and how you drown.

@@mattdelany6799 - I beg to differ. If there is a fast enough current wide enough for the car, it can happen. I've been in a car when it did slide off. There was no railing on the bridge. The water was not deep, & we were the only ones on it or my mother would not have risked it. She went right down the middle but it started to float a bit to the right. I wasn't old enough to drive but I was old enough to be aware of the situation. Fortunately, we got our wheels hung in a crevice on my side of the bridge, so we didn't get pushed completely off, but we quickly had water in the car. And this was no small compact car, either. We were able to carefully get out on the bridge side but a tow truck had to help get all four wheels back on the bridge.

But, depending upon the vehicle, it might not take a lot of water, if it's a swift current, to put you in danger.
