Trent 700 - Sounds steady and quite less noise.
CF6-80E1 - Loud but sounds powerful.
PW 4000-100 - Sounds like a fighter jet, loud but superior noise.

I'm a huge P&W fan. They are powerful, like Lamborghini engines under the wings. I went on a Delta 757 to Fort Lauderdale last year and it felt like seconds between takeoff and cruising altitude. Plus, P&W's make planes look sleeker.

For me the clear winner is the: (1st place) Rolls Royce--love the wind up scream and overall deep powerful sound (2nd place) Pratt & Whitney--this was a LOUD aircraft rolling down the runway, but the Rolls sounds much stronger and more interesting to witness (3rd Place and DISTANT 3rd) Sadly the GE engines sound muted and plain boring. They don't give you that instant blood chill rush like the other two. Just BLAH. Those are my picks!

PW wins overall!! The combination of the “roar” with the high-frequency whining sound is the best
    2nd GE, 3rd RR.

PW4000-100 is like the Harley-Davidson of jet engines. Distinct, loud af and not exactly the most powerful nor efficient.
Impressive given they made the PW1000G.

Trent 700: Sounded very high pitched, had a little bit of the GE90.
    CF6: Very powerful! Love it!
PW4000: Sounded like the F-16 in my opinion.
