Renter hack I learned for the backsplash peel and stick is to cover the existing backsplash with blue painters tape completely and then lay the peel and stick to that because the peel and stick can leave crazy residue and be way more work to clean up then the blue tape. Love your videos btw!

adding to this; i specifically use extra wide painters tape and it makes it SO much easier than normal one and for wallpaper i use that & construction paper and it peels off like a charm!!

Every apartment is different on what they allow and how strict they are! As long as we put everything back the way it was before we move out we are free to do whatever 💖
I wanted to see an overview tour of everything once the pieces, art, and furniture was up. Girl I still love everything 🩷🎀 and did not know some of these things were renter friendly. Love it.

Your attention to detail is insane. I would have never noticed the problem with the backsplash but when you put the new white one up at the end I was like OHHHHhhh that's so much better 🚕
Sometimes I have to laugh. You and I have such similar styles that we literally have the exact same items for furniture and curtains multiple times now. But your space is generally pink and white, and mine is blue and white. Used to be pink and white though! BUT NOW YOU ARE SETTING UP YOUR LIVING ROOM IN BLUE!!🤩🤩🤩 Why am I so excited? You're also the only social media person that I actually feel like I'm friends with and you just don't know that we are. 😂

Actually I do really enjoy the green little tiles, they go so well with the brown cabinets - and they compliment the new frames 🫶🏼
For amazing frames - go to a thrift store! Old art has the coolest frames - pop it out and pop yours in! Your place is looking so great!

Every apartment has their own rules on what they allow! The biggest thing is I just have to put it back to the way it was before we moved in. Our last apartment didn’t allow wallpaper or to redo any of the fixtures. This one does though!

My fav part was waiting to see what furniture you were going to get to replace the entryway(uneven doors) piece with. As you described the new piece as being longer I thought “how can a longer piece not take up even more space”? However when I saw it I was amazed! It works! And it looks perfect in that space! 🚕

Something else that might help brighten up the kitchen and mute some of the yellowy-ness is swapping the under cabinet lightbulbs for true white bulbs instead of the warmer bulbs in there now. I just made a whole bunch of swaps and its been great.

you should really consider making a trip up to Hudson to go antiquing. That's what all of the antique shops in the city do and they just mark their finds up by like 200% in their shops. You can find some AMAZING things in Hudson and it's so cute there too

Absolutely I love white but I incorporate light wood to pop the other white pieces in the room. The rattan looked so much more expensive to me and played off the white for contrast. Didn’t like the long white console looked cheap!

I love that you try doing the building projects yourself but if something is a bit off, you get Will to fix/redo it. I know I can do a lot my own DIY myself but my dad was an engineer and my boyfriend is an engineer so sometimes I accept they have the brains and tools to do things neater the first time. My boyfriend just accepted he was putting up command hooks in my bathroom not me last weekend
