Kind of weird to use the 1916 configuration of the Renown when she was extensively rebuilt in 1936, giving her radar, geared turbines and better armour, completing before the Gneisenau was even in service. Especially as the two did duel in the Norwegian campaign. As the ship 20 years younger and with 10,000 tons potential displacement advantage was obviously going to win. Could you do an H-44 versus a 1940s version of a Tillman/Maximum Class BB? Obviously a 1916 or 1917 BB of any type would stand no chance against the H-44. I was thinking you could use the Tillman IV, and while there are no six-gun turrets you could try to do 6 four-gun turrets in an abc xyz layout, though if that wouldn’t fit on an American hull you could turn unlock all on and try to fit it on another nation’s hull (you will probably have to increase the displacement, but that will just put it more on par with the H-44). If that didn’t work you could use one of the other Tillman designs like the IV-1 or IV-2. 6:27 Holy hell. Renown didn't just get sunk. She got _nuked._ That volley must have literally sheared the ship in half _and_ set off every powder magazine on the ship all at once.
Hey Stealth I would like to correct you about the Scharnhorst class battleships, yes battleships not battlecruisers as some people believe that they were even though they were not. They were too heavily armored to be classified as such and even though the small gun size of 11in was unusual for a battleship in WW2 in WW1 this was more common. Also because you chose the modern battlecruiser hull which is the incorrect hull form for her you probably were not going to fit all of her secondaries as well, also as a side she did get torpedo launchers but that was later not during the time she encountered HMS Renown. Shocking enough her and her sister were supposed to receive a planned rearmament to the 15in guns used on Bismarck.
It's a common topic for debate. I would lean more towards calling them battlecruisers as well. The armor was good for battlecruisers, but still worse than what a battleship should have. It had similar armor to the Hood and considerably weaker armament. IMO they should be reversed, Hood should be considered the first fast battleship, as her armor and armament is easily on par with contemporary battleships of her era, while Scharnhorst doesn't really qualify as a battleship since her armament is massively inferior and her armor is considerably worse than contemporary battleship designs. Even if Scharnhorst and Gneisenau got the planned upgrade to 15s, they would still be 2 guns short of a standard battleship armament and their speed would have suffered for it.
6:29 Here we see HMS Renown acting in accordance with standard battlecruiser procedure. Miss every single shot and then explode violently. 11:22 That's why she was heavily upgraded in the interwar years. And in 1940 she did beat both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau at once. One thing bout Scharnhorst, you forgot the triple torps

Maybe you could give the Arizona a better matchup then? That’d be nice of you :)
A Battleship verses a Light Cruiser, that seems a bit unfair don’t you think? Maybe instead of SMS Königsberg, one of the König Class Battleship’s or one of the Kaiser Class Battleship’s? Putting a Battleship against a Light Cruiser isn’t a fair fight at all, at least have the ships be the same type of ships.
@@foresthamilton2243 To be a bit more fair to you, Arizona was also built in the 1910s but was modernized in the 30s. So it's not exactly a WW2 ship. And one could probably find an older setup for it to fit WW1 era. Königsberg however was never (other than minor changes) modernized after WW1. Any lone light cruiser will just get deleted by battleships in this game. Even groups of them do. That was my main issue. If one would want a somewhat realistic and interesting what-if scenario, one could pit the Arizona against en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reşadiye-class_battleship Arizona was protecting American interests in the Greco-Turkish war in 1919 and if Britain had delivered the ships ordered by the Ottomans before WW1, one of those might have run into Arizona there. Assuming it wouldn't have sunk in The Great War. Lots of what-ifs there, but shouldn't be an issue. Another potential opponent in the same scenario could have been battlecruiser SMS Goeben en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Goeben that actually served in the Turkish navy at that time. But that, quickly looking at the stats, wouldn't have been a close enough match-up. Ofc the sky is the limit when selecting ships for fantasy scenarios, almost any suitable WW1 German battleship would do against Arizona in a WW1 configuration. The configuration matters a lot, as this video proved. Stealth didn't use time-appropriate version of the Renown and the fights were mostly short and violent...
What should this be good for? Quotes from the links above: "USS Arizona (BB-39) was the second and last of the Pennsylvania class of "super-dreadnought" battleships built for the United States Navy in the mid-1910s." and "SMS Königsberg ("His Majesty's Ship Königsberg") was the lead ship of her class of light cruisers built by the German Kaiserliche Marine (Imperial Navy). ... Königsberg and her sisters were designed to serve both as fleet scouts ..."

Those British WW1 capital ships and their 6 inch belt armor were really a reckless design.
I built the SMS Von der Tann and HMS Indefatigable to face off against each other just like they did in the Battle of Jutland. There was an unsurprising outcome
You ask what you would do with the 10K tonnage legt over?
Fit the Scharnhorst with her 2x 3 21 inch torp-tubes, maybe?! 🤫😉
Tirpitz vs Bismarck? Yes these are sisterships but if you want a close fight than that is probably it 😉
Can't have the same nation in a battle twice.
@@Stealth17Gaming The beta of 1.05 is live now. No new hulls though.
Would be awesome if there's a battle between the H44 and the Sovetsky Soyuz
A Soviet and German Battleship’s that were never built, now that sounds like an amazing engagement!!!
Both the Soviet Navy and the Kriegsmarine don’t get talked about a lot and I think SN Sovetsky Soyuz could rival the H-44 as it was meant to rival the Yamato Class and the Montana Class, it would make for an Amazing Encounter.
Though I don’t think SN Sovetsky Soyuz could win the fight as H-44 had won against the Yamato, but it would be so nice to see these two forgotten Navy’s to dual it out!

Holy hell. Renown didn't just get sunk. She got _nuked._ That volley must have literally sheared the ship in half _and_ set off every powder magazine on the ship all at once.
It was not really a fair fight. He should have used the refit version of Renown that had significantly improved armor and radar.
@@Silamon2 They had better armour than bismark. Now i know bismark didnt have the greatest armour scheme but it was still heavy.
USS TEXAS bb-35 have similar story when escording a convoy and some of germans ship see him even they run away beacause of 14inchers
Hipper vs Atlanta?
Hmmm 🤔 could be a good idea.
Would love to see HMS Prince of Wales against the Italian battleship Roma
Could we see some pre-Dreadnought action in Potemkin vs. Mikasa? Without the mutiny though.
why did you give the renown her torps but not Scharnhorst?
Scharnhorst had torpedoes added later
I am once again asking for Duke of York v Scharnhorst in a battle of the north cape encounter.
you forget to give the scharnorst is triple torp in the back lol
What about a DD battle? Fletcher vs Asashio?
DD battles sound fun, but I feel like the community would like BB or BC battles.
Didn´t Renown have 9 inch belt?
6:29 Here we see HMS Renown acting in accordance with standard battlecruiser procedure.
Miss every single shot and then explode violently.
11:22 That's why she was heavily upgraded in the interwar years. And in 1940 she did beat both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau at once.
One thing bout Scharnhorst, you forgot the triple torps
She did not beat the twins.....they run away because of their doctrine to avoid fights with heavier units!
@@huey-fan8335 I mean..........forcing a withdrawal does count as a victory.

King George V Class vs Littorio Class Battleship!
How about an odd encounter:
HMS Furious vs. SMS Von der Tann
Oho, I think that’s a good idea, though I feel like it would be very slow paced.
You should do USS Maine (bb-10) vs IJN Mikasa
Sovetsky Soyuz-class battleship (Project 23, Russian: Советский Союз, "Soviet Union". These ships would have rivaled the Imperial Japanese Yamato class and America's planned Montana class in size) vs. Yamato or Montana.
I would like to see that battle, see if it could live up to that claim.
You could have made the torpedo belt to class 3 cause she had a big one and her speed was 31,6kn I believe.
Standard British ships .. storing oil rags and kerosine containers next to ammo lol.
Hi can you do roma vs bismarck ? it would be fun battle i think
Hmmm 🤔 could be though I don’t know a lot about the Roma? Like what country built it, and who did it fight for?
@@DemonHunter2271 Italy built it there were 3 ships of the class 2 of them suriveved the war the roma was sunk by the germans in WW2

I don't like how this game messes up the layout for historical ships so bad
I mean we don't have any towers for scharny only for biscuit, they might add some but for now it doesn't mess a lot it's just the choices are not there
@@hyennavernhyavonragnarok3999 it does, just look how weird look ships like the Yamato, NC or Bismarck, if isn't the layout of the turrets to far to the back (for balancing issues despite the ship is designed to look like that), the hull of the ship looks too short and roundy or you cant add the secondary armament that is supposed to have

Displacment max:130000 tons
Tech germany 1940
enemy:US
Engagment range is 15000m
the enemy gets 2 battleships 5 light crusiers 5 destroyers 3 heavys and 10 transports you get 1 battleship and any class of your choice besides battleship.
One more thing you have to have at least 2 sets of torpedoes on each side
I want to see HMS Burnham vs. the USS Nevada. They were launched the same year, and are close in displacement. The Nevada is famous for being the only battleship to launch during the attack on pearl harbor, and for refusing to sink after being nuked twice, where as the Burnham is a larger and faster ship. Who wins? The ship with the accolades or the larger faster ship?
In case there are issues with finding info on them here are their English wikis.

The SMS Königsberg (1915) [en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Königsberg_(1915)]
VS
USS Arizona [en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Arizona_(BB-39)]
As an Arizonan I would like to see the Arizona have some fights personally, cheers!!
You want one WW1 light cruiser against a WW2 battleship?
I'm not even sorry for being blunt, but what an idiotic idea for a fight.
@@gebus5633 lol it’s only an idea, really I just want the USS Arizona to get more fights, and I’m more attuned to knowledge on tanks not ships, so I don’t really know where things would fall balance wise or even ship class wise (as you can tell-)
Good to know this wouldn’t work then!
If one would want a somewhat realistic and interesting what-if scenario, one could pit the Arizona against en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reşadiye-class_battleship
Arizona was protecting American interests in the Greco-Turkish war in 1919 and if Britain had delivered the ships ordered by the Ottomans before WW1, one of those might have run into Arizona there.
Quotes from the links above:
"USS Arizona (BB-39) was the second and last of the Pennsylvania class of "super-dreadnought" battleships built for the United States Navy in the mid-1910s." and
"SMS Königsberg ("His Majesty's Ship Königsberg") was the lead ship of her class of light cruisers built by the German Kaiserliche Marine (Imperial Navy). ... Königsberg and her sisters were designed to serve both as fleet scouts ..."

Something like USS Alaska vs KMS Scharnhorst would be a better matchup.
@@Cat-y4w Maybe, but Alaska didn't have the armor to go up against Scharnhorst. She's got the 12in guns, but she can't take a hit as well as Scharnhorst.
