Seriously impressed with those barrack foundations. Whoever finished off the concrete mortar was definitely a skilled craftsman. I wonder if the barracks themselves were just as decorative? And what great finds! First, Barbed Wire Alley, and then, part of the original barbed wire fence line still standing. That was a great find. And then, finding those 2, original, and complete, wooden storage "boxes" at each end of that passageway tunnel. Amazing. They looked like they were put in yesterday. Stunning. Some truly great, and very rare, finds! Looking forward to seeing what else this amazing site has to offer. Thanks for sharing! Cheers to you all. Stay Safe!

What an amazing location, with so many features hidden in the forest and then suddenly a spectacular view of the ocean! Barbed wire for Africa, beautiful barack foundations, surprise tunnels and unusual finds. The perimeter fence and the storage space with its door and beautiful wood lining still in place were amazing finds! Looking forward to the next video(s). Stay safe history hunters HH and EE.
And yes everyone, listen to the little guy and comment, comment, comment!!

Another great adventure! Thank you and EE for taking us along. That barbed wire alley was something else. I can't wait for the next episode because I know there is so much more to share. That barrack foundation was amazing! The way they made it out of rocks was so cool! It was just amazing! But I enjoyed it immensely! Take care. 💖💯

Another great adventure exploring some great WW2 sea defences. The view looking over the bay is stunning, some poor soldiers ended up at the Eastern front and some ended up relatively safe on the coast. Also those wooden doors in the bunker look brand new when in fact they are nearer 80 years old.

Sorry for the late watching of this, been a little busy with all that is happening. You never cease to amaze me with the wonderful and lost sites that you and EE find for us. The workmanship on the barracks foundations is fantastic, and true craftsman. The scenery is breath-taking, and as you say, you can see why they built here. I would guess that the wooden boxes still in place would have been for radios or ammo ready rounds for the personal weapons, like K98 or MP40. What else is there to see here, I cannot wait. Thank you both for sharing, stay safe and well my friend.

That was a brilliant adventure. What a location! I always enjoy how you drop in comments on nature, she really did reclaim the man made gun position with that tree! The wooden doors on the storage cupboards were a great find. Totally agree with you, the soldiers uniforms were different but humans filled them all and most would have chosen a different life, but they did their duty, that has to be respected.

Military music to get us in the mood and quick overview of explorations to set the tone. EE my bet was on you for the hand battle :). Guard position was in an ideal position. The soldier's barracks was a work of art. Took a bit of time and effort to build and design. A definite eye for detail. That Regelbau was still quite clean considering how old it was and so solid and well constructed. It was a relief to see there wasn't a lot of graffiti on the walls.
Thanks for taking us through the tunnel system EE and HH. You are right EE, watch those spider eggs - yuck. :( Breathtaking view of the Atlantic coastline, perfect defensive position. Yes, there looks like there is much more there for you to explore and share with us. Thank you HH and EE.

Great location. I wonder if the foundations were built in the early part of the war when they had time to put into the ascetics. I have done that style of rock work and that takes time. If we collected all the barb wire from the sites and melted, it down we could solve part of the low-grade steel supply issue. This site is huge, this would make a great scale diorama. Using a printer, it could be done in full 3D. The store cabinets are in great condition for their age. Great job on this segment can't wait for the others.

This was a very nice explore! Looks like a lot of care and pride went into building their barracks. I'm sure there were many soldiers who were carpenters of various sorts that had a hand in the style. I would guess initially the German soldiers would have built these. Making it a home away from home not knowing if they would ever make it back as the years passed. Very nice adventure guys!

That was quite the place HH and EE. The German soldiers Barrack was very impressive and detailed. Can envision the German soldiers slightly inebriated, breaking bread and sharing personal stories of their loved ones and life back home. They just might have been the fortunate ones not having to fight on the Berlin front. Ordinary men doing what they were asked to. Unfortunately, a war may happen again with what is going on in the Ukraine with Russia. I feel for all the people involved as it is often the citizens and soldiers forced to fight paying the price for their government's destructive decisions. They sure was a lot of German combat barbed wire in Barbed Wire Alley. You don't want to fall on any of that wire. Surprised to see the barbed wire perimeter fence still standing. Thanks for taking us down through the tunnel. The one bunker with white walls was in pretty good shape for sure. Wonder if an animal tore something apart? Too bad the 10 5 cm gun wasn't still on the mound. Can't imagine it being able to accurately shoot 10 m's. Will look forward to next video. Stay safe you two.

Astonishing complex, "Hans und Helmut" would have had a decent life there before the invasion. I often wonder if any of Soldiers that lived and worked there are still living. Great explore, thank you.

To have fancy walls like that they must have had a lot of time on their hands, not like the soldiers fighting at Stalingrad

I wonder if the forced labor person who did the mortar and stone work was a stone mason prior to the war, the workmanship is quite professional. I am amazed at the amount of barbed wire in the location and wonder if any animals get caught in it by accident, that whole area looks impassable! The wooden doors on the ammo storage areas are the first I believe I have ever seen intact in one of your videos, very impressive! Even the hinge work looks original! Just an amazing area that you and EE toured and videoed! Thanks for bringing us along once again!

@@WW2HistoryHunter I wonder how much metal there could be scrapped. Of course there is historical significance but raw metal rusting away with no purpose seems pointless. I bet there is thousands of recycled material available at some of these locations which would not detrimentally effect the value of such history.
