    That’s what I like to hear - saws maintaining the same rpm in the cut. I watch a lot of cutting videos where saws sit and scream - feed me! Thanks for providing a video where the saws are properly tuned.

      Absolutely drives me crazy when I here a saw fall on its face because the operator tuned it to scream off load and leans out in the cut😕🤔🤔

    I did see a couple things but it's part of cutting wood brother ❤ It happens if you cut enough but the trick is your experience with a saw and knowing things happen. Everyone experiences kickbacks and pinches.

    • @ourkentuckyhome771
      @ourkentuckyhome771  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, pinch and kickbacks do happen. Good catch. The trick is when running a saw is to never let your guard down, expect anything can happen anytime and be ready for it. So many people underestimate what can happen while cutting, that's when things go bad. Thanks

    I love to saw . I only have a electric saw atm. My Stihl needs new gas lines and carb work. The only person who works on them is backed up for 4 months. My Dad and uncle had a sawmill. But i wasn't aloud to be around it much. They said cause I was a girl. Hope all is well.👍💛🙏

    Now that's 2 well maintained and sharp saws brother ❤ I think y'all are good for 3 to 5 years with wood.😂 They both cut like butter John. If it was in my hand I could tell you which one cuts better.

    I was wondering about you in the beginning with no chaps on. Both seas cut like butter. My Sthil saw is more of a home size. I had chance to get logs last year but I did not have the size of your saws to do the job easy so I got already split wood. Cost me more.

      Yep, get in a hurry and things get overlooked, then bad things can occur. Thanks Beverly

    I think you get a kick out of using your chain saws. No pun intended. That’s a lot of firewood. God bless.

    John gave me a shout out, woohoo!!! Nice catch on the kickback. I think the bar tip only jumped a few inches! Just enough to get your attention. I bet if a certain blonde set up a lemonade stand next to the woodpile she would have made a fortune off of you that day!!! I would probably pick the 372 to use. It's lighter and has plenty of power for most cutting jobs. I have to confess, if I am cutting little stuff I usually grab my little Wild Thing (go ahead and laugh). It has a gutted muffler and just sounds angry. Retuned the carb and it runs great to be over a decade old.

      Hey hey hey Barry, nice catch on kickback. You always have to be ready, expect the unexpected. I would normally be bucking with my 562xp auto tune saw. But the holzfforma saws need some break in. I actually really like running the 372 though. I ordered a pipe for the 395😊

    • @barrygolden9823
      @barrygolden9823 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That pipe should wake it up! I have an EFCO 80cc that I added a pipe to the muffler. It really boosted that thing by letting it breathe better!!!

      Makes sense. After running both the saws for 15 minutes you can definitely start to feel the wait difference. I did the base gasket delete and dual port muffler on the 395. It will be interesting to see if it wakes it up. I'll be testing it tomorrow. Thanks for commenting

    I'm seriously considering buying either a g372 or g395. One thing ive wondered about is what fuel oil ratio you run in yours? 40:1??

    • @ourkentuckyhome771
      @ourkentuckyhome771  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      40 to 1 but only because of after market pipes. I would break in 5 tanks 40.1 then switch to 50.1.. if you run 40.1 all the time you will clog exhaust screen

    • @ourkentuckyhome771
      @ourkentuckyhome771  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I explained, I did base gasket delete on both saws and dual port mufflers. It made both saws come to life. I cut some pretty good size oak and ash and with a sharp chain it makes cutting easy. I wouldn't shy away from either of the saws as long as they are the 3rd generation.

    Well 7 -8 months later what’s the update on these saws? Any issues ? How you still liking them?

    • @ourkentuckyhome771
      @ourkentuckyhome771  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Jim, they have held up great. I'm getting ready to do another large cutting for next season out of the wood yard. I will be running mainly the 372, but I will stretch the legs of the 395 a bit also. I'm really surprised how well these saws stay running. I've pulled mufflers on both saws and cylinders look great. I broke both saws in 1st 5 tanks with 40.1 and been running 50.1 every since. Dual port, base gasket delete, replace on off switch with momentary oem switch and run em like you stole em I say. Honestly after owning these big bore saws, I could never justify buying oem again for myself, might be different if I was a logger. Thanks for checking in

      Absolutely no problems at all with either of the holzfforma. I do suggest changing the stop switch to a husqvarna momentary switch. I know the stock switches break really easy. Good luck 👍

    Any updates on the saw's problems ?

    • @ourkentuckyhome771
      @ourkentuckyhome771  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi David, both my holzfforma saws are running perfect so far. Both are done with break in gas and now on 50.1 mix. The 395xp has approximately 20 tanks through it and 372xp has probably 25 tanks run. I'm very pleased with both. All the wood I've cut this season has been with the holzfforma saws. No clutch problems, the 372 was leaking a bit of oil while stored, but it has stopped that. Dunno why? I'm actually getting ready to cut some more and plan on doing a video update on both saws. Thank you John

      What is break in gas? 25-1? On the site it says to run 25-1 is there benifit to running 50-1?

      Tim, the 395 is really starting to come in. Has 8 or 9 tanks through it. The thing is a animal.
