12:03 I'll never buy an R/C tank....me? I'd first equip it with .22 or .177 air rifle pellets and if that worked, I'd upgrade to .22 shorts......not because I want to go around shooting anyone but because that's how I roll lol. I designed an airwolfe helo system back in the 80's that dropped actual incendiary bombs and fired rockets lol...
I worked in an architectural dept in a large corporation and one of the bosses saw me working on it on my drafting board.....we didn't have all the micro electronics but a couple of the engineers got wind of it and came over to lend me their expertise lol.
That project actually landed me a job in another dept when the manager got wind of it. It was designing store fixtures. After they offered me the position about 2 weeks in we were on a scouting mission and he told me "you know why you got this job? that helicopter you were drawing up. If you can design something like that, you can easily handle anything we throw at you".

Being a kid in the 80's and seeing an rc car going 20mph bouncing out of control on grass was incredible. It's great these rc companies rereleasing models for us old guys. Good memories

As a kid I used to go to bed with the Tamiya magazine on my lap dreaming about these things, I got the grasshopper one Xmas then a couple of years later the Boomerang, 30 years on I own about 25 rc cars, when a man gets bored of toys, hes probably bored with life.

My biggest item on my wishlist would be the Egress kit. I had an Avanté as my very first RC in 1990 or 1991 and it was awesome. I always wanted to buy the egress but it was a little out of my reach back then. So that's probably the one kit I would love to own.

You can't go wrong with a classic re-release kit from Tamiya. The hornet is probably the most iconic imo but the Lunchbox for me is the most fun hands down as some of these early kits don't handle with particular accuracy the lunch box makes up for it with unpredictable fun, really great for both big kids and little kids on the beach or lawn. I would'nt go for the new avante but would definitely look at the 2011 re-release version tamiya# 58489 for a buggy 🤙. I especially love the japanese culture for these kits with custom paint jobs, hop-ups and everything. If i was in that shop I'd be all over those sweet rc tank kits!

Oh man! I love Tamiyas! I've got loads but wow! This shop is awesome! So you mention the 6x6 King Yellow.... I think instead you should go for the Volvo A60 dump truck instead. See it at 5:12 - Its the same G6-01 chassis as the KY but its a way better model it looks so much cooler & more realistic. You'll be amazed by that full gear driven drive system inside the chassis. Its a thing to behold! If you do go for it, upgrade it with a full bearing set, 6x CVA oil dampers, put some thick oil/grease in all 3 diffs. Aim to make it 4 wheel steering then pop a crawler motor in & head to the woods for some scale realism & watch it climb 45° muddy slopes. Have fun!

I have 3 of the trucks, Knight Hauler, Scania R620 and the freightliner Cascadia Evolution. I was looking at the Globeliner. I got the Scania and the freightliner instead. I wanted a King Hauler, but they were out of stock at the time so I got the Knight Hauler. The king Hauler or the Grand Hauler has so much more potential for adding lights and other things than the Knight Hauler, such as the electric winch you can mount on the bumper. I have the Remote control winch, but nowhere to mount it on the trucks I have. Also the "Flat" roofs are really prime for adding things. Trucks like the freightliner, have slanted roofs. Making it impossible to add things. Such as beacons or even other lighting.

Great video, what an amazing store! The guy in the shop picked out some really nice things, that yellow truck and the tank were absolutely pucker. I don't really get the appeal of the slot cars but they are amazingly fast!
You definitely need to go back and buy a Tamiya (just keep in mind the build process is as much a part of the enjoyment as the finished item as long as that's your thing). The Super Avante is great but if you go for it make sure you get the ball diff alloy nut hop up (buy two, one for each diff + buy one pair of universal drive shafts for the front as the dog bones tend to pop out). Another really nice car is the Top Force Evo if they have one in stock. Oh and don't forget to buy some Tamiya 'PS' paint for the lexan body :)

That "Yellow" truck is the Globetrotter tow truck, one of the most expensive models. Same goes for tanks, they are really expensive also. I know the Globetrotter tow truck is over $1000.00, so are the tanks. That's the reason he showed those.

New subscriber, I love your channel! I would recommend the Tamiya Ford Escort MK.II 1/10 4WD MF-01X. Great looking body, plus on-road and off-road fun! Keep up the good work!

Get the Mercedes Benz Actros.... It is beautiful !!! The trailers are a nice price but you can do so much with them... Won't be visiting Hong Kong any time soon. I would end up broke and over weight for the flight back to the UK.... 🤣

Tamiya has a good selection of military vehicles, but Tamiya should definitely make a destroyed russian tank also.

I was born in late 80s, didn’t see the glorious moment of rc but mini4wd.
I bought a circus and rc x5 for my kids and myself 😀
Sad thing Tamiya didn’t improve tech much over years. It could have rerelease with better chassis or parts instead of remake same thing… look at lunch box… it became toy grade now…
