But they’ve decided to forego a honeymoon in order to create a garden on the rooftop of their inner-city Sydney apartment.Ronene wants an entertaining space for friends and family and Ean hankers after a sheltered outdoor spot to read the weekend paper.Unusually, size is not the issue. At 99 square metres the terrace is big enough for another entire unit but creating a garden that shelters them from the elements, adheres to strict strata guidelines and isn’t heavy enough to make the roof fall in are all major challenges. Not to mention the whole thing must be transported five storeys up. Will they manage to create an oasis high above the heart of the city or regret spending their honeymoon budget on a garden?

I have lived in both properties with gardens and properties with large terraces (with fantastic views). Personally i prefer the latter.
