ALL supermarkets in Japan have discounts after 6pm.. if not sold say by 6:30pm, then even more discount.. not sold by 7pm, even more discount. This is one way to be able to eat cheaper… and the quality of the food is still good!
Thank you for watching. Hope our videos able to help independent travelers to DIY Japan. A lot cheaper and much more flexibility compared to joining package tours.
My hat off to you for your familiarity of the trains subways and AirBnBs.....Very few countries in Europe can cater for such convenience of travel without resorting to taxis esp when lumbered with so much luggage
Hi Uncle Lee, We enjoyed watching your 12/2022 Japan tour. You seemed to be very experienced and organized with the tour scheduling and location. Were you doing tour guide profession before?
Thank you for watching our videos. Very much appreciated. No, never has been a tour guide as a profession. I have worked in IT for more than 30 years and loves traveling.
@@UncleLeeAdventures Thank you for replying back: Where is your next adventure? I’m looking forward to your next adventure video. See you & 阿發‘s family soon. Take care…
Nice vlog. Japanese supermarket price tag are quite misleading. The bottom price is the final amount inclusive tax. But half price sashimi are sushis are really worth it.
Uncle Lee, hehehe, I watching every fine detail as I am planning for my trip in autumn (Nov), Ah Fatt and Ah Leng's luggage were huge, how does they manage to get into the Shinkansen?
There has been rule changed on the Shinkansen past 1-2 years. Very large luggages CANNOT be brought into the Shinkansen now. Watch this video for luggage size limitations: 👇 th-cam.com/video/4zXBg91YC3M/w-d-xo.html If you can afford it, pay a bit more for the Green Car so that you get more space and you don’t have to crowd with others in the ordinary car. This is useful if you are traveling in large group and wants to sit together in the Shinkansen. With ordinary car, you may be split in the front, middle or back of the train if you are in a big group as all seats are free seating for ordinary car. All seats on Green Car need a seat reservation (can be done at machines at all JR stations). If I recall correctly, the difference is ~USD90 more for a 7 day pass. All the best in planning your trip and hope my videos can help you with planning.
@@UncleLeeAdventures Good idea, reserve seat on green car is a good choice, your video help me a lot in the planning. The biggest headache is not the big items like places to go or hotel , it is how to move around using train (local metro & shinkansen), taxi in Japan is way to expensive use. For example, I watched your first episode and I am now more assured about how to exchange the JR Pass when reached Japan.
@@BigCat6612 it’s very easy to get around Japan with Shinkansen, metro and local trains. Almost every corner of Japan is served by trains. Don’t go with taxi unless short distances as fares are too expensive. Japan is also very safe country so you will unlikely have pick pockets, etc… but do be careful too and watch out for each other. Do take note that the Exchange Order for the JR Pass need to have the EXACT same name as your passport. I bought JR Pass from Sunrise instead of Klook (which I think is bit cheaper) because Sunrise requires me to send them my passport page.. I know they will get it right when they ask for passport page. Klook and other websites ask for First Name & Last Name. I cannot be 100% sure they will get our names correctly when they do that! For example: If someone is Tan Ah Kow. Sunrise will have the name in the exchange order as Tan Ah Kow. Other websites may have it as Ah Kow Tan.. then we will be screwed. So be careful with this. If you need help with planning, ask questions here and will help answer them if I know the answer.
Hello fr. NYC.Thanks for all yr great videos. Will definitely visit Japan soon. Where is Ah Fat char kway teow store? Dying to try a plate when I visit Msia in a couple of week.

Japan is real easy to DIY with friendly people and low crime.
Have to be very careful with Europe as lots of crime, pick pockets, scams, etc
Glad that Uncle Lee, Lady Boss, Ah Fatt and Ah Leng enjoyed Japanese wagyu so much. Keep up the good work.
