Please note Lohkot has nothing to do with Lahore. This was an error made by H. Wilson a historian since he had little access to solid information then. Lohara Fort (Lohkot) was identified and nailed by the brilliant and solid scholar Sir Marc Aurel Stein as being in the Poonch region. Lohara still exists in this region. Lohara Fort (Lohkot) was under the control of Kashmiri rulers and it was here that Samgramraja king of Kashmir soundly defeated Mahmud of Ghazni and almost killed the latter. Ghazni attacked this region since a powerful Kashmir was protecting the Brahman Hindu Sahi kings of Kabul region against Ghazni. I was posted in Kashmir Valley and did study the history of this region in depth. Yet I might mention you are doing an incredible job.

Superb rendition of historical facts..kudos to the anchor. The tour of Lahore was mesmerizing. I always have been an admirer of Lahore and Amritsar architecture of pre partition days. I'm from Amritsar and have lived in a haveli built by rich Muslims who had to leave for Pakistan after partition. Thank you for showing us the old capital of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. BTW, just a thought, How about a video about history of Lahore during the reign of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh? I think it makes for a good topic as that was probably the only time when punjabis were ruling Punjab and Lahore was the center of it all.

Wtf... Pakistan is practically ruled by punjabis and you have audacity to talk. Whatever ranjeet singh left. Lahore has always always sustained being a mughal city rather then sikh. Even ranjeet singh used all of mughal castle and buildings.
Hamne Bachman me suna tha "jis Lahore nahi vekhya us kuj vi nahi vekhya " this was a favourite sentence of the people who came from Lahore after partition .

Sikhs before Ranjit Singh destroyed Lahore they were called bangi sikhs

Sir , this is a great presentation but to me it feels incomplete. History of Lahore can not written without mention of Lahore Darbar, without Lion of Punjab "Maharaja Ranjeet Singh" . I feel you should have included Mharaja's rule.
