Big THANK YOU for this step by step video, just changed my condenser without too much difficulty. That bottom bolt is much easier to get at if you unclip the condenser and swing it forwards after unbolting and removing the top pipe.
Not being a mechanic by any means, but after getting ridiculous quotes from both Nissan dealers and back-street garages - all over £500 - I bought a Nissan replacement on Ebay for £70 and fitted it myself. Will now get a mobile aircon guy to re-gas at £90.....thus saving bundles of money. Nissan wanted over £400 for the part and the backstreet guys were almost the same price.If the condenser was just a radiator it would be £100, but because it's a condenser it's 4 times the price??? What a rip-off the motor-trade is these days. Thanks for the most helpful guide to DIY car repairs......where would we be without the most helpful TH-cam?
@@uguryemisci2095 As I had no cold air coming through the system, I presumed all the gas had leaked through the pinholes in the condenser radiator, which is why it had to be replaced. When I removed the pipes, there was no evidence of surplus gas escaping.

When you created vacuum to test , i would've thought oil would be sucked in too ? Do you still have the car ? Is the AC still working ?
Thanks very much for your video which is excellent. I will be doing the same job very soon as I have a condenser problem like yours which Nissan want £680.00 to fix. I just wanted to ask, did you replace any of the PAG oil in the system. I am under the impression that if you lose all of the refrigerant then there is a good chance that the oil has gone as well. I would not have a clue as to how I would check if the oil is still in there. Thanks again for your great video......

Nissan know their is a problem with the aircon. The pulsar and juke have the same problem. It's about time nissan called all the cars with the faulty part.
I have another issue with the Air Condition. Maybe you can help? When I start the car, the fans go on full speed, and everything is fine. If I turn the fans down, the center vents just completely stop working. From that point I am unable to turn the fans on again, even if I turn the fans all the way up on the control unit inside the car. If I turn off the car, and let it sit for a while, then start it, the fans work again but only at full speed. Do you have any tips on how do diagnose or fix this problem?
Thanks for the tips. I will try to plug a scanner to see if there are any warning or error messages stored on the computer. I also noticed it works at full speed and the level below for as long as I want. But all the other lower levels only work for 1-2 seconds before turning entirely off!
@@FixYOURride13 I disconnected and reconnected the AC panel connector but it didn't work. I'll check with OBD2 scanner once I'm back home in a couple of weeks.
Cześć. Jestem po wymianie skraplacza ale jest wyciek na Dolnym łączeniu. Zmieniłem uszczelke wyciek się zmniejszył. Uszczelkę dostalem od nissana ale do końca nie wiem czyt to prawidłowa bo wpierw mówili że ta mniejsza idzie razem z ta całą rurka. I koszt to 80f. I teraz nie wiem czy pakować się w tą rurkę czy raczej condenser wadliwy.
Hi there. I am having same problem going on with 64 plate. Post another video if its keep working ok. I mean no gas leak again. I wonde u didn't change O rings. Some says O ring shouldn't be reuse. So let us know if everything working good later. Thanks. Good luck 👍
@@FixYOURride13 thanks for reply. Mate one anothee thing i was reading on nissan comunity page is about battery replacement. Some say its need reprogram(register). Car wont start or car wont perform start stop properly if you don do that. Other was saying i done byself its no need anything straight forward battery out n nrw in thats it. Have you got any experience? Or will appreciate if you make one video on it. And can explain ppl how to register new battery,, (if its need to be). Thanks again.
@@jassi5204 hi, that is true, you need special stop and start battery and some car need registered in body computer the new battery by tester, but I'm have no experience with Nissan yet, sorry.
Hi there. Thanks for posting this. They want over £500 in the UK to replace the condenser. What gas did you use? I didn't see the gas in the video. My Qashqai is a 2014 and uses the new type of gas. Also, do you think I could just replace the condenser, and then take it to a garage to get it recharged with the R1234yf gas?

Have a look through the top of the plastic covering he removed, and see if theres illuminous green liquid puddled anywhere at the bottom below the condenser radiator, thats what mine looks like on the nearside(passenger side) if the car.
I am suspecting mine has a similar problem because the temperature gauge goes up sometimes as if my fan is not switching on, and when the air conditioner is switched on at a low speed it changes automatically between recirculate and fresh and then back to recirculate when the car builds up speed again.
FixYOURride13 Nissan say that coolant need to be changed in 90.000km or 5 year the first change and 60.000km and 4 year next coolant change. You don’t recommend to change coolant if the freeze point is ok?

Hi, don't be afraid about the oil, the oil heavy and always stayed on the AC pump,. I'm not added oil this time.

We just changed the R1234YF to R134 with adaptor.

Hi, be sure the fan is damage, because can't be started if the system is w/o gas .

Hi, interested problem, maybe blower resistor is faulty, or A/C panel not fully connect behind, best will be plug in computer for diagnostic.

Is there some sort of sensor that may tell the blower motor to turn completely off? (if it is overloaded or something?)

Hi, yes should be new orings but my was not damage and I don't have new set orings. Get new and replace for 100 % sukces.

If your system was flushing you have to add, or if replaced AC compressor, but if only regased it is not necessary.
