@@abbywilliams9367 That's a pretty sweeping claim. I hope you don't mind if I offer my perspective: US citizen, and I have no health insurance. A lot of people don't realize that hospitals/doctors charge self-pay patients WAY less what they would charge insured patients. My epidural for my daughter's birth would have been $7000. I called the billing department to verify that was the self-pay rate. When they learned I was self-pay, the bill became $1,200. Besides, I prefer private healthcare because the treatment is much better. No long waits, doctors and nurses are friendly, etc. There's always an exception to the rule (both ways) but that's my experience. You don't need to feel bad for me. And for those who aren't insured AND still have trouble paying bills, there's this: as long as you send the hospital SOMETHING each month, even if it's $5, they can't hassle you about it. And a lot of medical facilities are willing to work with you to find a way to get everything paid up, for obvious reasons.
Money dosn't come from nowhere ya know. IF you compare U.S taxes to UK the UK get taxed like double the US. So legit a lot of people are paying more money by having "free healthcare"
I feel genuinely sad to know that U.S citizens don’t have access to free healthcare and need to pay for treatments. Cancer treatment is so expensive, and I’m able to see people that I know getting all the surgeries and chemos for free. If you have free healthcare where u live, be grateful. And yes, the world’s crazy. Sometimes bad situations happen to save us from something even worse.
@@amreenaym786 There will never be free healthcare in America. We pay one way or another. US citizen, and I have no health insurance.
