For the DIY'ers, have a look at welding supply areas in the big box home improvement stores or welding specialty stores for stainless steel filler rods.
They come in several sizes and usually in 2 or 3 foot lengths.

Mike, I make my own, by twisting 14 gauge electrical copper wire in my drill, and then bend it to fit the base made out of the same type of wood as the ornament, looks good and easy to make.

Thanks Mike, as a retired welder, I use brazing rods, pretty cheap at Tractor Supply stores. 1/8" by 36" long. Without flux of course. MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOD BLESS YOU!👨‍🏭👷👷‍♀️👷‍♂️❤️🌲🎅

I enjoyed reading all cmts. I found some hangers on Alibaba very cheap but they were the 6”. Other sizes you have to buy 100 and up. Shipping directly from China can take 4-6 weeks. I have their app and have bought various hard to find parts for my friends working on chainsaw engines etc. It REALLY cuts out the middle man. I too have used brass rods as well as welding rods. Yeah I like to buy mine and move on as well.

Had seen nothing like this before monday when i saw a six foot spindle "tree" with wire scroll branches. The little wire scroll hangers look great too and will try making some next year. Merry Xmas

Hi Mike, I started making bird houses and my wife forged me some stands out of some 3/16” square stock in our blacksmith shop (if you you aren’t a blacksmith you can usually find one), with the advantage of being custom made for the ornaments. To buy one. Good place is Hobby Lobby (use there online 40% off coupon for good price). Thanks for the ideas, I like the tall glass vase idea a lot. Stay safe and well. I'd like to see how you get the bends to be even, especially the loop at the top, on the ones you make. I've turned miniature birdhouses & something like this is exactly what is needed to finish them off...

Good point I should have covered. Wrap around a cylinder of slightly smaller size. It could be a bowl blank.

The small loop I use a metal rod forming jig with moveable pins. Perhaps nails in a block off wood with the heads cut off.
