I put a lot of love making this game. Thank you so much making those videos as in 2003 we had no idea those who played the game liked/loved it. Having twenty years later some review is amazing. I am actually the guy that named the Beluga ;)
Ce jeu aura toujours une place spéciale dans mon coeur. Et cela tombe bien car l'anniversary edition vient tout juste de tomber comme par enchantement :)
I will say one of the best things about the game that you glossed over: The music. I think the OST for this game is amazing. Definately one of the reasons why I replayed it several times back in the day.
PROPAGANDA! 📢 I've heard so much good about BG&E and in 2014 i chose to pick it up for PC. Since I love old games with somewhat clunky controls (MGS2&3) I knew the old controlscheme wouldnt be a problem. And I've listened to the OST looong before even playing the game. So... it was very refreshing to be blown away by the beautiful graphics and amazing atmosphere the game got. Got stuck somewhere when I searched for pearls, but it was great until then. It got the same feeling of Rayman 2, really charming artstyle and graphics with excellent music.
7:00 Correction: You CAN get all the pearls. That special code unlocks a bonus mdisk in the Akuda Bar. Which just lets you play the pallet mini-game at any save point. The reward for all the pearls is a unique minigame where you control two pearls at the same time with the analogue sticks. Unfortunately, the controls for the 2nd pearl are REVERSED on X360/PS3 which makes the mini-game way harder. The 2nd pearl controls normally on Xbox/PS2/GameCube.
You are 100% correct on this. You can still get every single pearl in-game which will account towards 100%. Plus achievements as well if you play it on the 3rd generation consoles in its remastered HD variant.
i love it before and i love it now, still have my PS3 with this game on, and last week i start a new game. This is the old game, and old games have something insaid, story, gameplay idk what it is but i like that, it's like first MAFIA game, it's perfect.
I was and still am a huge fan of the game I've replayed it a good 50 times now probably but I've been looking for games similar to BGAE but had no luck, do you or anyone else in the comments have any recommendations of games I should try that's similar to BGAE?
Try Star Fox Adventures (Gamecube). Great graphics, varying gameplay mechanics, very similar combat scheme… but it starts a bit lame, so you need to give it an hour or two before it really becomes enjoyable. Your first impression might not initially be a great one - especially compared to BG&E which has great pacing and is 100% straightforward. And there are of course the obvious alternatives like Zelda, Okami etc.
If you think about getting the pc version, just be wary that you need to do a lot of tweaking on your part to make it work. Without tweaking it at all, you get a horrible frame rate and no sound. It actually becomes unplayable
That was good. I was mixed on the ending too. But still. Are you going to review the first two God of War games? I'm very nostalgic for those games. More on God of War 2 though.
Thanks, man. :) I did a video for the PS4 reboot-ish God of War, but I wouldn't mind talking about the original trilogy someday. I've currently got other plans for videos though, unfortunately.
@@TrashorTreasure Thanks. That's fine I guess. Not to add more games to the pile. But I think you should also check out the original Doom games and play em all up to Doom eternal. I'm sure you're busy and this is your channel. But I'm just making some suggestions of games you should play. Check em out when you have the time.

Thank you so much for this comment and being a part of this wonderful game! It truly is an honor!

This game is made by the same guy who made the first 2 raymans holy crap I wasn’t expecting that
He also directed the 3rd one and then came back for Origins and Legends.

2:05 No he doesn't. He looks like a good man being unfairly accused to me.

Coincidentally enough, all four games you mentioned were the biggest parts of my childhood lol
One of the best games on ps2
First! Thank you for giving us content!
I hope SMT If is on your list.
Thank you for watching, man. :) Might get around to SMT If before Nocturne HD comes out next year. We'll see.
Uhhh yeah, unfortunately I’m pretty sure Beyond Good and Evil 2 is vaporware at this point. RIP Beyond Good and Evil 2….
You deserve more subs
Thank you, man. :) Glad you enjoy my videos!

Just bought it on GOG. No issues.

@@douglasmonroe7417 I do very much enjoy the Doom games, even the old ones, haha. May at least talk about the classics someday.
I feel bad for you with your only 3D rayman being rayman 3 it’s not as good as rayman 2 and arena in my opinion it’s still a good game just basic
Just started it and I’m gonna be honest I think they should just reboot the series o remake
The original
