One of my favorite all time games. Genuinely emotional in places, very different gameplay to most other things and some really unique features which didn't feel like they were just tacked on as extras but were an interesting part of the game. Also the music was great and who can forget the Rasta Rhinos?!
You know this game was revolutionary in combat mechanics right? It was the first game with active target switching. All that smooth target switching with animation we have nowadays in God of War for example comes from this game. It it was fucking amazing at the time.
You know how I got to this video? After killing the final boss there was a white flash as the next cut scene was supposed to load and the game just froze looping the wooOOOooop music. So I watched the final cut scene on TH-cam (and this video was in the side bar) xD Though I'm semi happy to hear that, because I was actually playing it on Linux and it's sometimes hard to figure out if the problem is the game, one of several compatibility layers, my OS, or the fact that I'm running a modern OS. Especially on older games that weren't as actively discussed online as games are now.
@Ruben Brugel superior compared to mouse and keyboard. Back in a day, when I first heard that the game was also on PC, I almost immediately thought that controls should suck ass. 17 years later I know I was right thanks to this little nostalgia trip of mine.
I subscribed right after you said you linked the resolution fix in the description. Then liked the video after finishing. You make good content and give to people.
I pissed off so much for the sequel to completely abandoned the charming stylized artstyle for more generic, realistic looking art design that really overcrowd today market. Like it doesnt make sense at all for them to do that.
One of my top 3 games. Played through this recently on the Hd version (PS3) and glad to say it held up and wasn’t nostalgia talking :) Also is that BGM from Kingdom Hearts? I recognise it as the Destiny Islands music I think?
The game to me feels like somebody at Ubisoft wanted to make their own Metal Gear game, but then the highers up said they had to make it a Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter like game as well. Ultimately, you are left with an unsatisfying game because nothing is fully fleshed out. On top of that, you are cheated out of a proper ending because Ubisoft were crazy enough to think this would launch into a huge franchise immediately.

The PC version is broken. Play it on Xbox360, PS4 or Gamecube. You'll enjoy it a lot more.
Literally any other version is better then the pc release. Last time I played it, I had to install a mod just to make the frame rate playable
If it helps, the controls are vastly superior on the PS2 version, it's smooth and everything handles nicely.

Too many ideas in this game and none fully developed. I never felt immersed in the world, characters or gameplay.

Stop blaming the camera campaign
