Noah Tobin In my system, "24" would still tell the offensive players that the 2 back is running at the 4 hole. What changes is the blocking scheme. "Counter" tells the QB and TB that they're executing different footwork, the FB that he going away from playside, specific OL that a pull block is needed playside, etc. The key is teaching players to listen for blocking scheme changes (i.e. counter, stretch, power, iso, etc.).
