    This is exactly what I needed I played football at a younger age but this simplified it. This is my step kids first year of playing and they come from so tall strong families. Took me an hour to find one simple enough to show them.

    This is soooo helpful, even though this was five years ago. I was really confused on the holes but now it’s sooo simple. TYSM

    how do you give the play a name so your players can understand?

    • @coachparker
      @coachparker  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a two number system, backs are QB1, TB2, WB3, FB4. then holes or players are numbered. Odd on left even on right, so right side would be 2,4,6,8 holes and left 1,3,5,7. If I call a 26 dive it is the TB going to the 6 hole. If we have a play we run all the time like the Beast Tight Left 15 Power, I will nickname the play like Beast Tank. I would use a T word since it goes over the Tackle. For Sweep plays I may use So Long with an S for Sweep. A friend of mine only runs about 12 plays and he just uses first names to hole number so Parker to 6. But I think everyone should teach the base numbering system since most Jr / HS will use something very close.

      That's my short name for that lane in my system. Gut, blast, dive, stretch, sweep.
