It’s always a pleasure to ride with you Forrest;,thanx for taking us along. I loved the sky scapes, the way the sun was illuminating the clouds, beautiful. Plus the way the sun was lighting the Redwoods, truly spectacular. Great work my friend.
Thanks! 😊 It was a gorgeous day out and I knew if I could just get up above the fog line it would be spectacular! 🍻😎 more on that redwood portion of the ride to come…
Slice of heaven there, Forrest. One cannot appreciate those magnificent trees until you stand in front of one and look up ,but hold on to something so you dont fall over. ( balance) Appreciate the Ride.
A slice of heaven for sure, I figured that most people when they visit the area are riding from one redwood spot to another and if you just take Highway 101 you are really missing a lot. Alternate routes through the back roads are really where it’s at in Humboldt county! Thanks again for watching.🍻😎
Thanks for watching, I’ve been wanting to film that route for a while now. I’m glad you were able to ride along with me and hopefully they’ll be another break in the rain soon. 🍻😎
Thanks so much for the comment! I have been wanting to film that road for a while now. Positive vibes or what it’s all about my friend, thanks again. 🍻😎
It absolutely IS a beautiful corner of the state. At this juncture, it's the only part I'm willing to visit. Gone are all the places I loved when I was growing up in Yolo County, and I've been to pretty much all of the state. Really love your meshing of the video & the music while you take us along for a ride. It's almost like riding in the sidecar!
Thanks so much for the comment and I agree with ya, this is the best part of the state to visit (in my humble opinion) I hope people could get a real sense of what the route is like and maybe use this video series to help plan adventures of their own… Thanks again for ridin in the sidecar 😎🍻
Thanks for watching! Hopefully I will get another break from the rain soon, I am really wanting to ride! Thanks again and safe rides to you in cold and wet France 🇫🇷 🍻😎
I have just recently found your channel and enjoy your trips. I never would have thought that parts of Northern California could look like my neck of the woods, Northern Ireland. 🇬🇧
Welcome to the channel 🍻 I have always thought that it looks a lot like Northern Ireland (although I have never been there,…yet) Thanks so much for the comment! Much appreciated 😎🍻
Nice! World class roads down there. The interesting thing about the terrain down there is those coastal range areas are almost like riding in the alpine above treeline in other states.. but instead you are able to access it in winter. Pretty neat.
Now THAT is my kind of ride! Stunning scenery, what a great way to make towards the Avenue of the Giants! Great video, Forrest! Keep up the good work! 👍✌️🖖
Thanks for the comment, I am very fortunate to live where I do and I am very grateful to be able to share the ride with those stuck inside as well. Safe rides and pray for an early spring. 🍻😎
I like the looks of that alternate route. Will need to get directions next time down (hopefully this spring) on my annual B-Day ride down the coast. What, no Zebras? I wanna see the Zebras. 😮 You take requests? How about a special video tour on the oddities of the lost coast area and beyond? Bigfoot, Paul Bunyan, Mystery Trees, oil wells.. 😊 Cheers buddy ~Grizz
Funny, you should say that my friend, the Bigfoot Highway is one of the next videos I plan on making. As for the zebras, sorry, but they were a little further down the road as you know lol safe rides, my friend and hope to see you in the spring. 🍻😎
Toured England and Scotland on motorcycle several years ago. Those roads are like the "C" roads. Back roads are best and the people you meet are more friendly
I would absolutely love to ride in England and Scotland! Maybe someday down the road that will happen but for now, I am very blessed to have Humboldt County California to ride in 😎 Thanks so much for watching I definitely agree with you, “back roads are the best”! 🍻
We rode with no agenda. We would stay in a B & B if available in the small town, go to the local pub, have a pint and ask the locals where fun back roads are and pick our route for the next day accordingly. Stick to the back country, away from tourists, where the locals are much more open and friendly, especially to people riding motorcycles.
That was fun! You know I was convinced with purchasing the upcoming 450 hymalayan, I am 66, and strong and in good health, knock on wood, but your tractor makes so much more sense, no more fast lanes, why?, rather listen to the music of the put put.
I’m pushing 53 years old now and I’ve found that “Farther not Faster” is the order of the day for me…. I love to explore and the 411 let’s you enjoy what your riding through a bit longer 😆 thanks so much for the comment and safe rides 😎🍻
Fantastic ride I love that area. I was following your route on my computer. It looks like after Bear River Ridge Rd you T into Monument Rd. If you turn left you get to the back side of Scotia. (I think that is the way you went). Have you ever turned right? It looks like you could turn Right on Monument Rd and could connect with Mt Pierce Lookout Rd and end up Redcrest. 😊that looks like one sweet ride. Thanks for sharing!!! Fantastic stuff !!
Hey, thanks so much for the comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the ride! You’re correct on the route. I ended up down in the town of Rio Dell and from there it’s 5 to 10 minutes down the highway to get to the Avenue of the Giants. thanks for watching, and camping in the Redwoods videos coming soon! 😎🍻
Hey always good to hear from people from across the pond let alone Ferndale! Thanks so much for watching and the comment! The scenery here is really breathtaking at times, Ferndale (USA) is at practically sea level but the route up on the ridge climbs to about 2500’ Thanks again for the comment! 🍻😎
Hi Roger! Good to hear from you, the Redwoods are amazing but all the old growth ones are kinda spread out up and down Highway 101 so if you add a few more hours to your next Redwood trip and take the backroads I think the trip goes from great to epic! 2 hours riding south from Eureka to the Avenue of the Giants via Ferndale to Rio Del to the Avenue! Thanks as always! 😎🍻
It’s always a pleasure to ride with you Forrest;,thanx for taking us along.

That road is one of my favorites in the area…🍻😎
What a great route Forrest! Thanks for taking us along. Loved the channel theme song ending the video.
Thanks for watching, I’ve been wanting to film that route for a while now. I’m glad you were able to ride along with me and hopefully they’ll be another break in the rain soon. 🍻😎
