@@GowGows its been a while, haven't watched it since highschool but i preferred it to the original. Seems like more of a loose tribute tho, im probably wrong lol
@@scootermcscoot272 if I knew him or like had his number I would, I actually emailed the UCF band director and asked him for the fight song (Tuba part) and he gave it to me.
This guy (pretty sure that's Taylor) teched my section for a summer, he was an absolutely PHENOMENAL instructor who improved us exponentially within a week, and was one of the best trombonists to come out of my high school.
Hey, I've been watching this nonstop and I can't help but think: isn't the melody at bar 8 Bb A G Bb G F G? The transcription lists it as an A there instead of a Bb which is throwing me off
Never heard a violin in DCI. Nice transcription.
Well hello george🤓
There was one in Blue devils Ghostlight
Blue Devils had a eletric in ghostlight but this is just a sound from a keyboard from crown
hewo
the god makes an appearance
met the soloist at a crown camp a few years back. one of the coolest dudes ever!
The soloist here was the brass caption head at our school for a couple years :D
Daaang
He is now one of my band directors. He is extra cool
@@brettanderson7780 wait that’s actually him wtf?
This dude, Taylor Laprarie, coached our trombone section for a season and I currently go to the university where he studied, MSU.

when you say msu do you mean missouri state or michigan state?

I'm just now realizing this is "Roxanne" by The Police
Is it really?
@@Smoko-9 yes listen to the solo
@@Smoko-9 It's the version from Moulin Rouge

@@Smoko-9 it's the Roxanne police cover in the musical Moulin Rouge where all the songs are weird covers. It's an awesome movie!!!!!!!
That echo in Lucas Oil is a truly beautiful experience
I could be wrong but I believe in the 4th bar it sounds to me like dotted eighth, dotted eighth, eighth rather than quater note triplets.
That does sound right
What if we just called him up and said "hey man can I see your sheet music?" Lol
@@lcope2004 you should do it
@@scootermcscoot272 if I knew him or like had his number I would, I actually emailed the UCF band director and asked him for the fight song (Tuba part) and he gave it to me.
It doesn't really matter since the rythms are felt so closely that most styles use them interchangebly
YESSS LAPRARIE!!!! He was a student teacher at my school a few years ago!!

Playing this exact solo for my high school marching band - super pumped to play it 🔥
what school do you go to?
me too
Nice tone
Mans is cracked
the woodlands high school marching band used part of this song for their show in 2021, only the trombone part was at a much faster tempo
That moment when you realize that this was that show you saw years ago. Huh.
This god teaches at my old high school
whs ftw
there's not much of anything sexier than a trombone playing Roxanne
Ayo pretty sure these props were used by Oak Mountain High School in there show this last year. Was at a competition they they stomped on
The Woodlands High School Marching Band 2021 Moment
Hahahaha
this is such a dci moment
indeed it is.
i think the 2021 woodlands high school trombone soloist was based of this
I feel like the F in the 16th note run and the F in the triplet at the end should both be sharp
0:41 3rd from right rip
Spicy🥵

If he jumped to high C at the end it would've sounded so much cooler
Do you mean a high D? I can't really picture a high C sounding as good there as a D
It had to be a D, it's D Minor. Piece is in G Minor...
I agree a high D would sound better with this chord
@@martin1024i think it’s supposed to be D major cuz that’s the chord that the band plays
was that F in measure 26 supposed to be an F#
Forget the trombone player. Who’s the babe?
0:06 y tho
Idk guessing the guy or girl who gave the dancers their work might of gotten thirsty(joking btw)
For fun i guess
Is it just me or does that not sound like a trombone.
high notes + good tone
hes just built different
I see big Ivan so I watch the vid
Why did you accent the attacks of the Bb to G slurs wtf
Someone call the po lice
3° last bar is F# !
Did anyone else think that was JAKE PAUL in the Thumbnail??
It’s just another one of those “hey look at this baritone that can also gliss” solos 😢
drum corps oldheads when a trombone solo has 3 glisses(he thinks its the only difference between baritone and trombone) 😱😱😱
