    Not getting the power you want in your golf swing? If you're coming up short off the tee, you probably need to improve one of 3 things... your rotation, your pressure shift, or your vertical thrust.
    If your swing is lacking in any of these key areas, you won't get the full yardage you are capable of.
    The recipe is simple: shift, turn, extend. In today's video I'll show you how these 3 ingredients come together to produce tremendous power for any golfer.

    this sequencing is so clear but the TIMING is gold.
    been practicing in slow motion for a week, about 10 times a day and 5 minutes each.
    got to the range and it went well for 10 balls then reverted to old habit again 😂. just cant stop it.
    well back to slow motion again.

    Hey Zach. Awesome instructional golf video. "Ground Reaction Forces is absolutely eye-opening." Going to the range tomorrow and will work on this!! Bravo!

    I also follow Mark/zen. I made both training aids you talked about. The disks I used lazy Susan and the rocking board with a piece of board with 1inch dowel. They both have helped.

    Zach, love your style of teaching. Simple and clear. Everything you say makes perfect sense conceptually. In practice, I’m struggling mightily to stop early extending, moving off the rush line, thrusting my right hip towards the ball on the downswing. So very frustrating. What can I do to break this bad habit?

    This video was most helpful with demonstrating proper sequence on the back swing and the downswing. Using the slider, stretch band, pressure board were good visual guides. Thanks again.

    Zach - what a channel! Question - following this tip to extend on the backswing has fixed my pull of 2 years. I tried everything under the sun (and moon) but this is giving me the most relief. Does that make sense?

    Zach, you're the only teacher I have found with the guts to address the dreaded shank head-on with your book of that name. I had suffered nearly two years until you rescued my golf game. Now I'm down to 9.6 hc. Your Ballstriking Blueprint is a masterpiece; all I need is to picture your downswing move which incorporates the moves you outlined above. Keep up the great work.

      12x18 inch plywood 1/2 inch thick. With a dowel running down the middle that is about 2/3 inch high.

    Hi Zach, thanks a lot for this new vidéo.
    Just a question regarding the Last extension, for you the shoulder must be as much as possible in line with the Target (that seems to be very difficult for me with the leg extension + the rotation of the hips), or the shoulder must be open like the hips but less than the hips ?
    Regards.

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes hopefully the hips are more open than the shoulders, and than we time that lead leg extension just before impact. Try some very small swings, an small shots are first.

    Zach, nice new digs and another great video. Of all instructors you have the greatest "power move" towards the ball. Phenomenal. My question is: with that move it seems your hands are dropping more vertically as you start the downswing a.k.a. what they called "ringing the bell" (pulling the rope down). Sergio Garcia does this too resulting in great lag. So, are you actually dropping the hands or does it only seem that way due to your strong power move left towards the ball??? I used to do this long ago til my "teacher" told me to stop, along with saying "well, Tiger doesn't do it so it can't be right ". I think I should never have stopped. What say ye???

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, I believe the very first movement down needs the grip moving slightly out towards the target line shallowing the club, which is brought upon by the lower body rotating, and then you can go ahead and pull down hard. Some pull don right from the top, and that is either too arm driven, or leads to the lower body sliding too far.

    And to emphasize my point, with his technique the golfer will continue to block it or pull-hook it at the worst of times. I commented on a Brooks Koepka video and look what happened? This happens with everyone do to the misconception of golf swing!

  • @user-ys9to2ie7k
    @user-ys9to2ie7k 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been commenting on many other videos about the misconception of the golf swing and he is really close but still Falls victim to the misconception of the golf swing. There's also one thumbs down which indicates somebody else out there might have a pretty good idea what I'm talkin about?! And here's a hint - it all revolves around one word that is misconstrued. Buhler? Buhler?

    For those us who are seniors and have hip movement problems, this is painful. Perhaps you could do a video that would help us.

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is really problematic. It’s important to figure out how much hip mobility you can gain without causing pain. Generally people can definitely gain some power in these 3 areas while still finding a way to swing that does not cause pain.

  • @blacklight4460
    @blacklight4460 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Golf teachers need to quit saying "press down" or "press up". You can only bend a leg (hip goes down) or straighten it (hip goes up).
