Maybe it's the rom I have but Cooking Mama has two mirrored windows open when I run with emulator station. Tinkering with Citra setting now, hopefully that's the issues@@DNAMobileGaming
Hey i did everything the video said, now when it comes to configuring controls I click okay and press a and it just pops up again, there's no mapping it stays at none and it just keeps saying that, any help??
I recently cited EmuDeck as a huge reason why Nintendo making a Switch 2 is a bad idea. The Switch is a huge step back from the 3DS/WiiU in terms of emulation and the experience of it. Same thing goes for the NDS/Wii era. Sure, you can run that stuff on the Rog Ally or Steamdeck, but you're not going to get the experience of having the actual console. In fact, it's somewhat klunky to play any of those on any system other than original hardware. But the Switch, well, it's basically an XBox controller with a never used touchscreen and that's it. It's hardware is no where near as fast to make emulation difficult, either. The only thing stopping people from emulating everything is the maturity of the emulators. For a Switch 2, it's hacking whatever software they have in place to prevent it which will be more exploitable if they have backwards compatibility. The counter argument was that emulation is too hard for the normies, but that's changing pretty fast with things like Emu-Deck. Emu-Deck is basically a download it and everything is there set up. You have what you need to get going right there.
I couldn't care much about the Switch 2 to be honest unless it really changes the game a lot when it comes to Emu-Deck still however most lower end consoles are pretty much setup but for consoles like 3DS/Switch/PS/PS2 you still have to go in configure stuff to get it going as EmuDeck really is just a one stop shop to get all the emulators mostly and part of RetroArch ready. I still like to go in and configure everything because it's different across the board so showing this helps a lot of gamers game.
You need to remove the opengl, opencl, and vulkan compatibility pack. Go to your windows icon on the bottom, click search apps, type in remove look for Add or Remove Programs. Now you should be inside Apps/Installed apps click Filter by select All drives, now look for this compatibility pack and remove it. I didn't mention this because not everyone got this update but it was something that messed up even Yuzu for example.
Hi, great vid ! Do you know how can we setup the Advance Frame and Decrease speed limit shortcuts please ? I tried many things but still failling.. Thanks !
That's because Emulation Station removed this recently there's a way to do it but I don't support that app anymore that's why I stopped uploading guides about it sorry.
@@DNAMobileGaming I mean like a big monitor. Like say I'm sitting at my desk. Can I plug in my ALLY into my desktop monitor and use it plugged in like that?
@@geggyboy1269 I believe so. Set your display to extend display in windows setting. I think there's an option to have the 3ds screens as seperate windows then drag the bottom window to the handheld screen.
It has nothing to do with that though it's specific Windows driver that won't open it on the Rog Ally which can be removed. Look for a driver in the updates that says something about support for Vulkan I removed this and Citra opened fine.
Citra isn't done it still exists as the Internet is still a thing and Citra for PC progressed so much that I even got Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon running decently well.
It's amazing how much nicer the Android citra is than the Windows one.
Yeah I agree I actually like it more on my Odin 2 on the most part.
Seems pretty simple, 3ds runs great!
Yeah it truly is and does run really well with at least the compatible games!
Wow man that worked, thanks!

@brandon114321 the configuration didn't save properly then, did you switch your controls to gamepad mode prior?
@@DNAMobileGaming ah yes I switched it didn't work but restarted it and boom started working thanks for your response
Im getting the Error Message that the mii Data IS Missing can did someone experience the Same and can Help me?

Love me some ds.
If you read that wrong some might think it's weird 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I click on citra-qt, it opens for a second and then closes. Am I doing something wrong?

Think we need this for Lemonade or any replacement that could work instead Citra
Lime3DS is definitely going to be a future guide not Lemonade however as they stopped developing it already.
Hi, great vid !
Do you know how can we setup the Advance Frame and Decrease speed limit shortcuts please ?
I tried many things but still failling..
Thanks !
You have to manually setup these settings in Citra I've never had to change any of this but I'm sure some games would benefit from this.
auto map doesn't work for me it keeps popping back up asking me to press a button
found the solution, had to set the rog to gamepad mode instead of auto
Lol awesome I did a generic setup of Emudeck.
@@nath5825 thanks had the same issue :)
I installed everything as in the video. But i cannot run the game on emulationstation, any thoughts why please?

@@DNAMobileGaming appreciate the reply !
Hey, would it be possible to put the 3DS top screen on a monitor, and have the bottom screen on your ALLY?
If you have a monitor small enough that could attach to it sure.

Do you need extra drive for storage? Or does the default asus work?
If you watched the initial setup you can pick whatever drive you want.
My rog ally keeps crashing with the Citra
Just started emulating today and learned Citra is no longer supported on emu deck aswell
@@delaghetto4616 am I able to just install without using emudeck? Maybe then I can play my games.

What about the 2nd screen
there is a setting in the menu and set it to side by side on screens.
What do we use now since citra is done
Citra isn't done it still exists as the Internet is still a thing and Citra for PC progressed so much that I even got Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon running decently well.
@@DNAMobileGaminghow do we download it now? I got the app image like others say but it doesn’t open anything but notepad…
@vampirekid218 the app image? .appimage is for Linux you need the Windows version which can be found on the Internet archives.
@@DNAMobileGaming Yeaa i got it to download and put in the right spot but when i open a game it will open, show the name of the game and then close
Did you do that via emulationStation-DE or via Citra?
Where can the games be downloaded from
Games are placed in the roms folder shown.
Can you use touchscreen?
Yes of course.
