Of course with Project Online memory isn't (technically) a concern. For Project standard (desktop) it quasi depends on the workload. The "official" requirements for Project Std '21 (current version I think) is...wait for it...4GB. Which is right up there with saying you should breath at least once every 15 minutes. IMHO a desktop running apps should have a minimum of 16G Ram period, and a bit of horsepower behind the graphics.
I only wish google have something to compete with ms project
hmm project Standard cannot upload any data to Sharepoint.. you need MS Project professional desktop client for that feature...
