I put Dynamos on my secondary violin today, which had Dominant Pros. It easily brings sound out of the violin that the Pros could never do, there is no comparison, quite richer and more resonant. Also easier to play.
I tried the Dynamo Strings. Didn’t like the E String at all. There was a metallic ringing sound, I didn’t like. So I turned back to my Eva Pirazzi Gold.
I have never learned to try different strings. 😂 I’ve been using classic Dominants for 40 years! lol I have a symphony audition coming up. Is it worth purchasing the Dynamos for that? I don’t play solo for the most part. Just an orchestral player. 😋 I already ordered classics before I found this review.
I really love the Dynamo strings. I hope Thomastik comes out with a version for viola soon.

I just received a set of Dynamo. The tension is 50.7 lbs.(listed on the box). The Pro is 49.7 lbs.
What do you think of the higher tension?
