Quite a scientific subject that may be tricky to grasp. But physics does help. I like the exaplanation on heavy oil being a 'dusty flame'', I've often missed or misrepresented that line and ends up in confusion and people not understanding it's comparison to pulverized coal - that they behave the same. Thx again.
I recently troubleshoot a furnace with an issue in the U.V scanner so. I decide to investigate a bit. but, according with the manufacturer manual, when the tube discharge electrons when UV is present it rectify the a.c signal the create a small d.c current that can be measured by the controller. that's why if you jumper the scanner it's flow is an a.c for signal then will not work for that reason your controller can not amplify the signal until it become a d.c signal of 0 to 100 microAmps. is that true>?
Yes, rectification is an important tool to ensure that a short will not simulate a flame. That is because a short would allow AC current, never DC. Only proper detection would generate DC.
Dear sir I am boiler engineer. I installed commission, repair different kind of steam boiler/ hot water boiler I used different kind of combustion controller, So I need your installation manual of AFD model controller. Picture is attached . Thank 🙏 and regards Tariq Mahmood
Most likely it would be an IR scanner. The combustion environment for biofuels tends to be smokey which is the perfect setup for IR. Hopefully that answers your question and thanks for watching!
Very Clear about the selection of UV & IR Detectors. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for the video. Great knowing IR scanners and where they are applicable. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks for watching!

Hi, what are the proper tecnology for a Lim Kiln Uv or IR? The fuel that we use its bunker 6.
I am working on uv today, thanks so much for the explanation
Glad it was helpful!

Excellent video. Gas turbines also use UV flame detectors. Thanks for the video.
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!

Would it be more likely to use IR scanner of Biomass or coal(very old biomass) ?

Great. More explanation would be great for the learner like me
Great thanks for sharing
I need flame AFD MODEL (Volcano) drawing
You made a great video, I have a chance to learn a lot.
Thanks for watching and the kind comment!
