    Very scary! Glad you weren't hurt more seriously. I've considered getting a Gripper. You like it still?

      I love it! I got the lower end one and it works amazing so far. I would get the higher end one if I were to do it again.

    Been using the micro jig for years not only is it safe it allows cuts that I never would have dared try and makes them consistently . A must have tool

      I agree! I'll never make a cut without it again. I use it on the router table too!

    Well, I must have believed that it was worth it because I have already purchased it. The thing is that I am still in the process of setting up my shop so I cannot offer an opinion on how it works for me. I have had a couple shop accidents in the past and taking precautions is always much better than several days to several weeks off to heal. Stay safe out there.

      Bruce, glad to hear that you purchased one! It does take some getting used to. Good luck on the shop and I'd love to hear how you feel about it after you use it.

    I purchased the higher end one last week, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.
    At the cost of $80, it's worth it to avoid ruining a piece of wood with an unfortunate bloodstain. Oh yeah, and keeping all of your fingers.

    The only time I've actually experienced kickback was my first time using a gripper. I've been apprehensive about using it since lol

      Really?! that's crazy. I haven't had issues with mine yet. Kickback is scary for sure.

    How do you use the Microjig with long pieces of wood?

    • @TheBengstonWoodshop
      @TheBengstonWoodshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same way you would use it with shorter pieces. I've seen some people use two microjigs with some feather boards to assist in holding the board in place.

      The company says to buy a second one. I think a pad type pusher would work fine while you are shifting position with the Gripper.

      @@GlennBrockett They would like you to buy a second one, but they are a little expensive. I had the feather boards in the shop already. I could also use the pads that came with my jointer. Have you used one yet?
