We head from Townsville to Julia Creek and finish up at the quirky Daly Waters

Come along as we head to the North Queensland Cowboys vs Brisbane Broncos game. It's our first NRL game as a family and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! We then head to Charters Towers and check out some of the dinosaur trail in Hughenden. Then for the ultimate middle of nowhere destination bath, Julia Creek. We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset bath after getting a great tip from friends to book the last session of the day so you can stay as long as you like (warning, the mozzies came out eventually though!). Take all the snacks, and ditch the kids if you can haha!
We then headed for the quirkiest place, Daly Waters Pub. There really isn't much to do on these long stretches, so when you have something like this on offer, it's great to have lots to experience. Tim's junkyard, the animals roaming the streets, a pool, a very interesting bar with lots and lots of memories to take in, and even a live performer. A very quirky place that we think is similar to Coober Pedy in terms of a strange spot in the middle of nowhere.

Yes, talc powder does work. It is also great for getting wet sand off your feet when your on the beach
