4001s put out fwr from the factory. Its not a filter capacitor. Only the repack 2001s use filter capacitors. 4001s are fwr and that can only be changed using a booster panel or battery backup
@@officialsimplexguy I guess 4001's are going to scrap. I only like Filtered DC panels. The 4001 is the only Simplex panel I can't use Simplex on I guess.
@@firealarmtechguy4444 yeah they were meant to be used with the horns of its time. Basically 2901s with 2903/4903 strobe/light plates. Oddly enough the fwr output on simplex panels is much smoother than say fire lite. Ive seen people use truealerts on them with no problem
