    Hi Doc.
    I am 60 years old and I did do 10 sessions of Neurofeedback.
    This was June and July this year 2023.
    I had outbursts symptoms for years and when I finished and sent messages to friends and family for an apology.
    I made peace with myself and I feel now that I must move on and drop people that don't make me happy and stick to the ones I love and those that have their interest in my heart.
    I feel much calmer and I am getting better sleep. My breathing has now improved tremendously, as for years I had lots of em motional blockage that made me very depressed.
    Your video clip is done very nicely and hope lots of people get better using this system of Neurofeedback.
    Patients should remember that damage of emotions took place for years in your body and brain, please do not expect a quick fix.
    Everything will fall in place over time. Be patient, be relaxed and be humble and your health will improve.

      Which ones exist there? Send me websites and I will begin to read about functional neurology down under. I use LowCarbDownUnder on you tube for my keto-carnivore sources-have you seen them? I was asked to speak in Australia before C-19 then the world got derailed. I like WalshInstitute.org a lot for chemistry, but they do not do neurology.

    I’m about to start doing neurofeedback after still not recovering from a brain concussion a year ago (slow reaction, trouble concentrating, unable to handle a difficult conversation or a discussion, etc). How do I know if the neuro-therapist that will treat me has more than only basic tools to train my brain?

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Basic tools can be good, I like to check to see if they know how to look for ischemia or inflammation first since the injury is not recovered-I would look for spindling excess beta and or sloe edge of alpha before setting a protocol on one like this. I like to mix anti-inflammatory diets and supplements and chiro neuro rehab when I can to improve the probability of success.

    How much should neurofeedback generally cost per session/month and does medical insurance typically cover costs?

    • @369Connections
      @369Connections 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends where you are in the world. A good start is to look for a bcia registered practitioner in your area to get started.

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      neurofeedback is broadly covered across the US and Europe for many conditions, but it is not universal. There are many types of NF and equipment and software, some are more expensive to own. Each insurance plan has their own rules. The cost per session ranges from under $100 to around $200 depending on level of complexity, supervision, and if a package is sold of multiple sessions.

    Had first qEEG and results came back as a high voltage EEG. I’ve been referred to neurologist. I have to admit I am a bit anxious now. Have you seen this and what was the issue?

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Many people have endophenotypes there are 11 described by Jay Gunkelman, and they can be variations of normal depending on the actual measurements. IF it is medically high voltage, there may be an electrochemical instability that may respond to diet, detox or medication, especially if it is all over the brain and not just a spot. Let us know what happens. Often there is a sympathetic stress response with scalp sweat from high blood pressure, super stress, anxiety, or panic attacks. Neurofeedback and neuromodulation can often help. Get evaluated and tell us the rest of your story.

      Great Plains lab/Mosaic lab has hair and urine tests for many toxins. Your doctor orders a collection kit to be sent to your home and then mailed in for analysis and a great report is generated. William Shaw is the owner, he is a PhD toxicologist who used to work for CDC before starting the lab. They are now international and I get no kickbacks either.

      If the brainwaves are made more abnormal away from the target is what I was getting at. It is possible to mess up a network by making a single area change brainwaves. We are still learning about network dynamics when we train brainwaves. We dont want to have a blind spot.

    Hi Dr.Pierce, thanks for your information.
    My "classroom" is talking much to much too 🙊🙈 because of different traumas. I started now with Neurofeedback and the "3-point-method" where I watch movies and the attention is trained. I'm not sure if it is the right method for me because it is so hard to concentrate on the movies as a lot of emotions and pressure and stress in the body comes up then.
    I heard of the ILF-Method (infra slow) and thought if that would help me better and easier with my strong PTSD. Could you help me and tell me what you think? Or what method would you recommend for my problems?

      There are so very many that I cannot pick just one, and there are so many varieties of technology choices. Among the most common are BrainMaster and so many others. Let your clinician guide you. If someone wants to DIY for performance, I like David Delight from mindalive.com/pages/about-us it is very safe. Some people should use a clinician and others may not need help.

    Hi Dr. Pierce, thanks so much for all this info! Is Neurofeedback helpful for someone who's had long-term chronic illnesses like Myalgic Encephalomyelitis or Lyme? Would a QEEG be helpful for showing the effects of chronic illnesses?

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Once chronic infections and autoimmune triggers are removed, then NF can be a great way to repair the brain loss of function. If the cleanup is not done, NF works less well and is less "sticky" in that the good effects don't last as long.

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      QEEG is super helpful as long as we get rid of the other infections and AI triggers and inflammation sources. QEEG can pick up metabolic problems and no amount of NF will fix that.

    • @brittneyrodgers4120
      @brittneyrodgers4120 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheHumanCondition That makes sense, thank you. Would it be helpful to do NF alongside AI trigger treatments? Especially since any form of viral/mold detox triggers so much inflammation for me.

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most clinicians would consider NF contraindicated with an active infection or toxicity like mold, and resume after detox.

    Who and how decides what brain fluctuations to train?

    • @TheHumanCondition
      @TheHumanCondition  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ultimately the provider and patient together analyze and discuss the patterns of brain waves they are seeing, and correlate symptoms with the data. Then they agree on what target waves and locations in the brain to pursue and train. This is a balancing process, not a medical treatment for disease, although good evidence is growing for neurofeedback in many conditions.

Your question is a heavy one, I hope this helps. You have a lot to read. The answer is yes, NF can help some people sometimes with some learning disabilities-read here for the specifics and let us know what you think of it.
