Found this movie when I was looking up Seiko Matsuda's old songs. I've been a fan of Matsuda since the 80s, but back then in Hong Kong I didn't have access to the movie, just the original soundtrack. So, the funny thing is that I knew all the songs all these years without actually seeing the movie. Now I can finally match the songs with the story. She's still a big star in Japan today. Her looks and her voice never age.

もう一度観たいと思っていた所でTH-camで観れるなんて!!感謝です😭
いや、あなたの仲間から素晴らしい映画を作ってくれてありがとう。日本語が下手だったらごめんなさい、私はまだ勉強中です。
This movie made me feel something that I’ve never felt before
This movie has no business being as good as it is…
wow, im 20 minutes in and they really nailed the different kind of loneliness that you experience in america, especially living with ptsd or another mental illness. theres such a culture of forced/false happiness- and no tolerance for people who dont fit into it. although this is a worldwide problem the animators nailed the look and feel of america.
a kind and gentle soul like Mike would never fit in
I don't like anime but why I'd this surprisingly good
Vlad the Inhaler- yeah, I never wanted to watch anime, I was never into it, but I loved this!
If you like this, youd most certainly would like alot of other animes.
You would like anime but you have to find the good anime for you
Vlad the Inhaler same

Imagine being paid to animate a 2-hour movie about cartoon penguins in a war with fully detailed landscapes, helicopters, weapons and characters for a beer commercial
I’d honestly feel honored
This movie was amazing! I read the comments and was worried the ending would be so disappointing and he just ends up in jail, but not so. I also love how likeable most of the characters are, and you can know how everyone is feeling. I love how realistic it was as well, and it's depiction of PTSD was really well done. I also like Jack. Just- I like him. This was such a good story, still dont quite know how it was supposed to sell beer, but it was a wonderful movie. Amazing hidden gem, 10/10
👏👏
Believe it or not, this is apparently the back story to a beer mascot 💁🏻♀️
Thank you for posting this, truly.

This is part of the Madagascar Penguin's origin story, and no one can tell me otherwise.
Nah. King Dedede origin story
You're right. Mike was claimed the hero, so they treat him like a king.
Uploaded 3 years ago. I remember showing this to my junior and they really thought this is Club penguin before Disney took it over.
Thanks for uploading!
Potato dude np
Legitimately one of the best anime movies I've seen.
This is better then most actual movies
The aesthetic in this movie feels so great, the music and the artstyle
The 80s were such a great era
@@armorpro573. Agree
One thing about the two penguins is that decades afterwards they would appear in commercials again and picture books in the 2000s and merch and there are some sites that are still selling these merch rather it be plushy or digital addon.
This is better then 90% Of romance, keeps itself interesting with the lack of sound. Thanks random anime generator for recommending this
Ikr?
10:45 Harsh reality: penguin is a bird which can't fly 😭
Loved this! Absolutely beautiful
Edoardo Ferrari please leave a like and sub

Lmao nice
At the beginning I was like: "I just gonna see the war part of this".
And ended seeing the whole movie.
Yeah man...gotta be honest Mike's story is familiar to me and I'm happy it ends on a good note. This was a suprisingly deep film about penguins.
This is a very emotional film. I think it deserves a dub from funimation.
it REALLY does, it's just so well done!
If it does we should have Christian Bale voice Mike
@@axjagfilms YES!!

Dang, the entire rest of the film Mike has the thousand-yard stare and doesn’t talk that much.
The harmonica was played by Lee Oskar.
A clip from this movie appeared in my recommended and now this is my favorite movie
nice
I think this is now my favorite animated movie.
& that still stands haha
its gems like these that really make me appreciate life
Poor Mike bruh saw his own two friends die. And his family and friends asking him to tell what it’s like.
I think it’s really awesome that you still see comments 6 years later I hope your doing ok
This is the best damn movie I've ever watched.
Ah, so this is where Club Penguin originated.
