Hey Brother. I wish! Working on finalizing a nice gig @ TUS Airport, trying to get my TH on the mkt and sold, and getting ready to relocate. Wish me luck! Meanwhile, glad you’re-doing better and going to COTA. I’m shooting for a 2025 trip there! Enjoy and Salute!
A buddy of mine is a physician, who specialises in sports medicine/rehabilitation. He's told me that yoga is the best thing you can do for a bad back, that he's recommended that to a bunch of athletes that he works with, and they've had good results. I'm not saying that it would be the right thing for you, but might be worth investigating. Best of luck with the rehab.
I feel your pain. had herniated a couple of discs while working years ago. went to pt. didn't have any issues until a couple of years ago when I was in a rush doing some fence work on my property. now I have chronic back pain. some days I don't have any pain, but all it takes is a certain movement and I have to stop and take a break. luckily it hasn't affected my riding much. I can usually go out for a ride without any issues, but sometimes coming back, I have to lay down for a moment.
So that was me in 2013 wanted to fuse disk and put a rod in my back and told not to ride my bike. Did not do any of that and rode 150-200K miles since then and I don’t take any pills or shots for it just have to keep moving
Check out the comfort zone ride backrests. No need to mod your bike and works really well. It changed the game for me. Not a shill, just my experience.
Glad you're making progress, just be careful not to go backwards and have to start all over again. I think your PP will be ok for your back. Sometimes sit up straight bikes are worse than lean on your hands and keep a straight back bikes......but only you will know what works for your injury. I was gonna call you a wuss but I know you could hurt me if you caught me 😆 - I have a flat spot on my R6 tyre but it's done >8k miles. it's fine in the wet, however, as you know, new tyres are so much nicer 👍. Good luck with the Cota trip - maybe a comfy car/SUV ride might be the most reliable option this time, but again, only you will know your limits, though if anything goes wrong being on a bike is a disadvantage. I'm sure everyone will forgive you for not riding if that's the call 😉.
Selected nerve root block injections are your friend. And most likely it’s your facet joints and not your discs causing the pain. EVERYONE over the age of 20 have herniated and degenerative disc problems. Especially L5-S1. Physical therapy makes worse not better. Get injections from a pain management surgeon under floresocopy and you’ll be out cold with propofol. That hopefully will yield enough pain relief.
My first task in your situation would be to sell the pikes Peak and get a GS 1300 or even a Gold Wing to prevent any jarring on your spine. The pikes Peak is the absolute wrong motorcycle or somebody with a bad back…
@@RemboUSMC nothing really to agree with it’s fact that the GS is a much more comfortable and tolerable ride than the pikes peak. This is why I am replacing my pikes peak with the GS. I thought I could tour on the pikes Peak is just not meant for touring…
@@RemboUSMCHey bro! I had back surgery years ago…I tour/travel on my ‘23 MTS PP all the time…I love it. 🇮🇹💪 *set to travel 8 states in May for 3 weeks!
Are you going to Circuit of the Americas this year (COTA) to see the MotoGP races?

I actually agree with him! Thanks for the confirmation.
Might make it next year again. Have a safe ride and behave down there, hope your back will not give you issues.

It is amazing how resilient our bodies are.
Hey Rembo! Glad to hear you are riding! Good on you! Also, great video!
Hey, thanks!

Good news for you. I think you are right to keep moving.
Ya me gustaría pero vivo en España , me alegro que te encuentres mejor , te mando a Pedro Acosta y Marc , tratalos bien , un saludo
Pedro está empezando fuerte este año. Todos los pilotos españoles lo están haciendo bien.

Thanks for the information David. I appreciate it.

Just get a ring Dinger. Look it up it will fix you

I just can't agree with that but appreciate the input.
