I don't know if you should disciple army at first turn, as after Chrace you need disciple army for Mistnar, the minor Cothique port. When you summon it after ambushing Cothique, it will be a full stack and you should be able to keep it until battle for Yvresse and even AR it
I disagree. If you use your unholy manifestation you can reach Mistnar and Tor Koruali on the subsequent turns. This allows you to setup an ambush for Eltharion before he gets a stack. You don't want a disciple army hanging out in the early game, they soak up too many devotees. Eventually this in inconsequential but for the first 20 turns you only want them around for a turn or two.
What I'm more interested in is vassal management & what territory (and how much) you allow them along with how much territory you should give your vassals on ulthuan. I get letting alarielle keep her capital for it's units but what about minor settlements? What about adjacent provencies? Should I let Tyrion keep his capital or should I keep it for the juicy port income? You said keep small as long as possible but what about vassalizing that elf dude south of your start position (I forget his name)? You come upon him early.
Personally I try and take every provincial capital for myself and let the vassals only have a minor settlement. That's mostly because I want the building chain. Alarielle I keep in the capital because it's a magical forest anyway. Different strategy than in the video; for me the 500 devotees is pretty huge, and vassalizing every single possible faction useful or not makes you have tons of devotees to use for disciple armies and cults.
I use your exact strategy too! Alarielle can keep her forest but Lothern is mine for the money, tyrion can keep a minor settlement. If my vassals only ever have a 20 stack of spears and archers, that's good enough for me. They can go and be sent after anyone.
That's a massive overkill. Summmoning disciple army is more needed in later turns to pump up your strength rank and give you some defence in province. What worse you used 4k gold for seducing. Being 1 turn ahead is not worth it. You can make the first battle as you done it without any disciple army help or expenses.
No, it actually puts you more than 1 turn ahead. the only enemy of consequence the entire campaign is Eltharion. if you catch him in ambush before he gets a stack, its game over. If you do it this way and use your unholy manifestation you can reach the other two cities in the next region in consecutive turns. then move on to the real enemy
@@theartofsavescumming Eltharion was never a problem. Yvresse AI stacks spearmen units what makes them even weaker than the basic High Elf faction. Tor Yvresse might be a problem.
Thank you! This helped a bunch. Keep up the great work!
Thank you. Quite a challenging battle 😊
How will this work with the new patch that prevents vic capping without the prior lock point?
its still doable
