Learn about Mahatma Gandhi with his 167 chapter epic book. It documents the history of Gandhi's life and covers in great detail his achievements in India, England, South Africa and finally back again in his homeland of India, where he led the country to independence.
Mohandas Gandhi (Mahatma was a title given to him in later life) became a lawyer and fought for civil rights in the courts and through non-violent civil disobedience.
Born and raised as a Hindu, he encountered several different religions through his travels which he reflects on in his autobiography. He believed that people of many different religions can and should coexist peacefully.
He is often known as the father of a nation for his actions that lead India to independence from British rule in August 1947.
One thing we know for sure about Mahatma Gandhi is that his actions documented in this autobiography have inspired and sparked civil rights movements across the world.

+Tiger King during his stay in south africa (for 21 years) Gandhi proved to be an anti-african racist who did not want to have anything to do with africans instead sided with europeans colonialists against africans who were seeking freedom from british empire

Thank you for remembering me and inviting me to see this video.
Thanks to this video people will get a better sense of the power of non violence and its humble beginings, despite the current mode of solving problems through force and insults (ie. Trumpism). Congratulations, I enjoyed the video very much.
There is a mention of Ruskin. One day you can give him a chance. This documentary is my favorite take on Ruskin and probably you, as an artist, can enjoy:

it is my suggestion that the image of india must be greater in size than england. also, you can place the image of england to the left of india.

why you made a wrong map of India and you also present shri lanka as a part of india. please do the research and correctly depicted map of india because it matters.
    nice work with the biography

    • @Obtaineudaimonia

Hi Rohit, I'm not trying to say Sri Lanka is part of India, I've included it to make the image more recognisable to people. In the same way the map of England also contains Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I've not put the names of any countries on the video for this reason, they're just used to show people the location of cities I talk about in the video (Bombay, London, Rajkot etc). Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked the biography otherwise.

Ghandi was a racist, He slept little young girl, he was an believer in the Hindus caste system.. It is the most horrible and abysmal system , they treated the out caste as lower than animal. He joined the British army and fight the Zulu, because he hated black.
