Our first trip to the prairies of Montana for sharptail grouse! The big sky state is an incredible place with loads of public access land to put some miles down on the prairie and find some birds. We are in the eastern part of Region 6 and 7 hunting mostly Block Management and state land. It was a great trip and bird numbers where high, but we don't have anything to compare it against, just that we saw and shot a lot of birds. This is part 2 please check out Part 1 first!

I love this video. It depicts two guys that did their research and drove up there and hunted public land. This is exactly what I do on my hunts. Learning on the fly.

interesting video I wonder because of videos like this and others is that the reason for the crowds in area 6 and 7 I saw the crowds this year (2023) locals I know said they have never seen so many hunters lady I know that lives in one of the mentioned areas said and I quote " can the birds stand this kind of pressure " she and others are concerned.
