I hate how many professors speak too fast, and you can not understand what they are saying in a 3 hour lecture, but you my friend, speak fast and your words are actually clear and understandable. Thank You.
Omg !!! 😍 I’m having the Immunization presentation soon and I’m struggling with understanding between active vs passive immunity as English is my second language. But so thankful for this explanation 😭🇰🇭☺️☺️☺️
In summery: Active Immunity - Immunity provided by your own body - e.g. memory cells Passive Immunity - Immunity provided from outside the body - e.g. antibodies injected to the body
Then what is the difference between active and acquired immunity? In both the cases our bodies are producing their own antibodies right?(except for vaccination)🤔
Active and acquired immunity are, to my knowledge, synonymous terms. They mean the same thing. Not to be confused with the adaptive immune system, which are your B and T cells.
@@RevealinLight 'acquired' means 'by external means'. If your body produces antibodies, they're not 'acquired', they're 'produced'! You get antibodies in both cases, but from different sources.
Acquired immunity includes all the immunity that we acquire in our life time.Acquired immunity is of 2 types - Active & passive. Thus Active immunity is a sub division of acquired immunity
That’s a sensible conclusion to come to but I don’t know for sure how active sickness affects transfer of antibodies. I can’t give you definitive answer.
Bruh, you pretty much summed up a 3-hour lecture in less than 5 minutes and it makes so much more sense! Thank you so much!
