I forgot to mention the price for the games! I couldn't check them all, but a lot were listed as 12 tokens per play, such as the Wizard of Oz machine. Based on that, here is the basic cost in dollars per game for each token bundle: $50 for 336 tokens: $1.79 per game $200 for 960 tokens: $2.50 per game $120 for 480 tokens: $3.00 per game $150 for 600 tokens: $3.00 per game $20 for 72 tokens: $3.33 per game $35 for 120 tokens: $3.50 per game $70 for 240 tokens: $3.50 per game $12 for 36 tokens: $4.00 per game
To be honest, I would really love to see Movie World take the time to make a really quality kids' area; the driving school could use an updated setting/look, and I think the whole area could use a bit more theming. The Road Runner Roller Coaster is really good looking and has some nice rock-work, and I thought the addition of this arcade was a nice choice as much as I would've loved to see another coaster (to be completely honest though, I'd take this arcade over the Big Red Boat ride at Dreamworld).
I agree, the area really needs a refresh. I'd personally revert it back to the classic "Looney Tunes Village" theme, and stick a dark ride in the Driving School. It's certainly the weakest kids area out of the Gold Coast parks
It’s a pity Movie World don’t put the same effort into the new attractions or even keeping existing ones up and going as they do into things that will take more money out of your pocket once your in the park.
Would’ve been a perfect spot for a new ride, but the aging Tweety Bird cages are still taking up space surely that ride is close to being retired. That plot of land could have been better used for a family coaster, like the Wiggles coaster at Dreamworld, or even a new flat ride. The arcade area should have stayed alongside the bumper cars.
I agree! Kids WB really needs a refresh. It's certainly lacking as a kids area compared to Dreamworld's. Heck, even Nick Land at Sea World is a better package.
The arcade looks nice, I love the 50's design, and I think it is a good use of the space because not everyone is fan of rides, this is a good alternative for those that want to 'slow down'... Also, it could be a good refreshing option in summer to find some place to cool down.
whoa its great to get back to movie world! YAAAY WOOHOO THE ACRADE is finally open at last!! cool name! it gives me vibes of the timezone acrade but smaller! ooh a wizard of oz acrade machine that is defiently my fav! LES A GO! YAHOO Mario kart great acrade games great to have it open! some games r interesting some r cool some r alright some r great! cool acrade GREAT update
Thank you! Yeah, it's not too bad overall, though I do wish it had a broader selection of games. Looking forward to trying the Oz game out, I love those!
I and my friend when I was little almost got stuck on one of the rides the man forgot my friend and I was on the ride when I told my mum she said she knows she told the man that her daughter and Friend is on the ride the wild wild West the water ride. It was really freaky when it just turned off and the thing for the water full was shutting down. Finally, it opened back up.
I'm not a fan of arcade games but all the lights look good they could of had some old characters like road runner and tazzy devil and some of the old characters I miss going there as a kid and seeing all the old looney tunes characters
I don't know, does Movie World need a dedicated arcade? It looks cool but I think they could have done something different with the space, what that something is I'm not entirely sure though.
you are not thinking of it from Movieworld management point of view, this just gets people to spend more money, unlike a ride which only costs movieworld money.
I do wish it was a new attraction or something instead. A good compromise would be making it an Arcade with actual retro games - as an old school gamer I'd love that instead of these modern ones, and would probably attract people to the park
I wish they weren't so blatant about adding more methods to the park to squeeze money out of guests, haha. The tons of carnival games is really an eyesore - but they do print money based on the prizes I see getting carried around the park
@@ThemeParkOgre I know Universal do very well with Harry Potter, I'm surprised MW hasn't leaned into that with HP being WB IP. I'm sure they could work something out.
@@shabubu157 I know right? I have a feeling it's probably too expensive for Movie World to do properly. Though the Harry Potter walkthrough the park had back in the 2000's was awesome

Exactly! We have theming literally rotting away in parts of the park that gets ignored, but a new Arcade gets fast tracked into opening!

Looks cool, Looking forward to seeing it in March next year
Worth popping in for sure!
Speaking of arcades, I would love to see the dream World one
I can do a video at the Dreamworld one for sure!
FINALLY! ITS OPEN!!!!!!!!

Those are some fair points! It's always good to have varied options at the parks. I just wish the 50's style was the same inside as it was outside
@@ThemeParkOgre Agree! coherence should be a key point!!
New arcade at Movie 🍿 World 🌎!
Wouldn't it be better to go to Timezone at Surfers Paradise?
Indeed! Full blown Arcades at Theme Parks have always confused me...
I am gonna go back for my birthday in December I can not Waite to have a look at the new stuff they have out I am so.excited 😀😊
Have a great time! You may get lucky with Wizard of Oz land being open if everything works out!
This would have been a great addition if they had incorporated the Marvin flat ride somehow
I heard rumours it was originally going to be Marvin themed - would have tied in so well with the Marvin ride. Dang it!
Looks fun
I'm sure a lot of families will enjoy it!

Oh wow, sounds like an interesting experience. Must have been scary if you were young!
Cool 😎 Video Games 🎮 🎮🦇🦇

I do wish the Looney Tunes were more integrated!
The building doesn’t look too bad tbh
Agreed!
1:50 That’s Mario Kart 64 music!?
Yup! That theme's engraved into my soul!
I can smell that new smell through the screen lmao
haha, the smell was immediately noticeable!
Are you planning to go to this year’s wiggles dreamworld show/ and please try to get all songs if you can
Will definitely try to! Looking forward to it :D

Not really comparable to Oz! But yeah, I do wish they placed a new attraction on that spot instead
