Really enjoyed this series. I tell people all the time to look at Bethesda builds for inspiration. In doing this series you've proved the point. The final tour is fantastic, love the backstory for all the buildings and attention to detail. Thanks for sharing...
Thank you! And yeah, this turned out pretty good... wasn't sure if the concept would gel with my style well enough but it turns out it's not a bad place to start. Might have to add "a Bethesda structure" to "Mr Handy Fuel" on my easter-egg-in-every-build list haha ;)
Thank you! Yeah, Phoenix definitely brings a different kind of style to the table, but nobody beats her when it comes to combining objects and using things in ways they weren't intended. Plus, y'know, the decorations lol
2:56 I like how you used those Vault Tech boxes to hide your counter. 9:42 Amazing settlement SarDeliac. I love all the details and the story for each house you made. 11:40 Wow ! It looks great at night. 15:59 Great settlement SarDeliac I can't wait to see what comes next. Take care my friend and have a wonderful day
Great build Sar. I like how you replicated the vanilla structures; very interesting. Your FO4 builds have inspired me to construct more modest settlements after building too many wasteland mansions. Keep up the good work mate.
This turned out really well. It all fits in, with nothing that sticks out. Have to love when you can find new techniques to use in other builds. Do you know where the next settlement for this series will be?
Thanks! And yeah, I was kinda surprised there were still new things to learn. For the next one I have no idea... I gotta admit this series is getting kind of "meh" for me at the moment so it might be time to change things up for a bit and come back to it later. If I had to guess, though... hm. I might actually go do FH with her and maybe try out one of those settlements. Have never built much of anything there before.
SarDeliac Now there's an idea. I'd like to see you tackle the Far Harbor settlements, Vault 88 and The Mechanist's Lair. I'm glad this series is still going because personally, I'm still building. Hubby has got back into it too with a Vault pieces build at Outpost Zimonja that jammily allows the mast to stick right through the top of the high atrium roof.
Looks great. You know where I would love to see you build. The castle. Would love to see your take on that. I've build twice there and gone over board LOL.
Thank you! I think you might be bored with my Castle attempts... I usually just wall off the bottom bedroom on that back corner and the original storage room with the chem station, leave the stairway clear, then fence off part of the ramparts for crops haha :P
I love it! You’ve created such a great looking settlement! It’s all so good. Those metal work sheds to match the existing workbench shed is awesome. The clutter is probably my favourite (surprise) you’ve added so much detail, it looks very active and lived in. Great work!
I keep saying this, but I love the organic feel you always manage to get. Nothing feels forced or out of place, this could easily fit in the main game. (Including the good doctor at 3.20 who apparently prefers to examine patients who are coughing from cigars and sloshed on vodka - good business practice I'm sure ^^) I was hoping to see what you'd do with the shoreline, TBH, I know others have used it to good effect. Maybe another time? Happy new year and all that, hope the weather lets up soon.
Happy new year back atcha, and thanks! The secret to building organic is to not try to do it all at once, and to reassess what the next thing is every time you come back; like "okay this is what they have now, what would they need next?" Makes it a lot easier to have it grow "naturally," I guess.
Absolutely wonderful decorating! How do you gather enough junk to do it? I end up scrapping most of the stuff I collect in order to build (and my characters are right junk hoovers!) I'm impressed, sir.
I scav like mad. I mean, seriously, I'm a locust--when I go through a location, I grab literally everything I can stuff in my inventory, and I'll leave weapons and armor behind if I have to so I can get as much junk as possible. (I do break weapons and armor down into parts in the field if I can find a workbench to do it, too.) What also helps is a mod I run called Scrupulous Scrapping; it's on XB1 but I don't know if it's on other platforms, though I'm sure there are mods like it. It basically redoes the weights and component breakdowns of almost every piece of junk, and it makes most things lighter than I've seen. Means I can carry even more. ;) This particular character only has 15 tons of stuff (29,700 lbs or so) but others have a lot more--megabuild dude is clocking 45 tons, I think, and the Immersive Gameplay guy's got like 70.
I had another idea 4 ur more heavily modded play through: how about making a vertibird provide power 4 a settlement? (Or at least making it look that way) whaddya think? Is that in your wheelhouse?
If they had a more stripped-down version with like exposed panels and stuff, yeah, I could totally see that, but a 'bird would go through a ton of fuel so it's probably not as efficient as a fusion-core generator. ;)
"Whatever you need to do to pick tatos." LOL
This really came together well! Nice build.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)

between you and no-respawn your the kings of scrapy builds. Phoenix is great too she has an intresting slant on scrappy builds abstract you could say

Thanks Kjell and you too. :)
My favorites are the 3 workshops, thanks for this wonderful build :) :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Thanks! This was an interesting exercise, to be sure, but it turned out pretty good I think. Just another farm lol ;)
that's a pretty smooth and lore friendly build keep it up dude
Thank you, and will do. :)
1:44 Gun in a bucket. Love it.

Hey Sar! Love the build! It's cold here too ; -42 degrees Celsius up here in Quebec, Canada 😰
Thanks, and yeah, brrr. Not a fan of the cold--when it gets below 70 it's time to throw another log on the fire for me haha

Nawwwwww
Thank you! And there's only two music tracks I use, and I like 'em both, so no worries there. ;)
I cant find the lights for the cross you have shown.
They should be in Power > Miscellaneous next to the large lightboxes if you've gotten the DLCs.
@@SarDeliac okay man i appreciate ur replying back.
Try out Conquest, love that you can build anywhere.
Might give that one a shot some day, once I'm tired of the standard build areas, but so far I'm still having fun with the stock set. :)
SarDeliac, I enjoy it because of the locations I have built and built upon.

At 1:08... Did that guard just fart?
I like how u play this game, can u do it again with horizontal or frozt mod, please?
Thanks! I'm on XB1 so neither of those is available for me, I don't think; Immersive Gameplay is the one I went with instead.
if i have to pick tatoes all friggin day, i'll need lots of Day Tripper... lots. of. day. tripper.
If you check the top of the dresser in the two-farmer hut, you'll see both Day Tripper and Daddy-O on there. They have the same idea as you do. ;)
😎
