one of my subs suggested you to me, because he said we have very similar build styles, and we do, but I'm on PS4. your builds are quite good. I love immersion and story telling with my builds. You're very charismatic though, and make good videos. keep up the good work.
Great little shack. Building these little shacks are so relaxing and enjoyable. The little storage area is one of those "happy accidents" I just love. You are just going for a certain look or something like that and boom how about this idea. Great job, when do we get to see the bunker?
Thanks loco. Nice when accidents turn into something interesting, for sure. Next one's gonna be the megabuild tour--gettin close to finishing that up--and I got some more work to do on this one before it's presentable, I think. Sooo... soon? lol :D
Oh, had not thought of creating different levels inside buildings with the small stairs/steps. Nice little trick! Also, it takes a real man to use a fuschia controller. lol
Thanks! And to be honest I haven't used it yet--my current controller works fine--and I found out recently they've discontinued it so now I'm hesitant to use it at all. :P I guess if I wear it out I can always just buy a new controller and transfer the guts to the fancy case. ;)
8:51 Great looking shak or house.I don't understand how your able to manipulate the floors that you use. That would be great to learn that idea. Oh my triggers go out on me, the thumb-sticks. I've bought 3 controlers since Fallout 4 first came out for PS4 and XBox one. So, I know how you feel. 9:33 that is a great tip !! I have the worst time with these corner pieces. 12:20 Were does the small flat junk walls come from ? 21:02 I love this shack you just built. I like all your great tips too. I will have to work on some of them. Have a wonderful day Great Sardeiliac.
Thanks! The trick to gettin the quarter floors to slide into each other easier is to snap 'em to a foundation, then group-select with the foundation as an anchor. Doing that makes 'em just a tiny bit softer. And the small flat junk walls are mixed in with the rest of 'em in the Junk Walls tab. There's three different kinds (flat, flat with tires, thick with tires) and two versions of each (with and without barbed wire on top). In addition, there are two corner pieces, and two doorways, both with and without barbed wire. Plus the gate.
Looks great. Such an obvious trick to get a more varied look around 0.25, by attaching the shack wall and roof to the small stairs (I say in the morose tones of somebody who never thought of it.) I'm looking at mods to enable the debug console in survival, because _of course_ I got the 'monochrome glitch' while carefully sniping Hyde Park into a more manageable proposition. I can sort of see why Bethesda disabled it, I just happen to think it's breathtakingly stupid that they did. Looking forward to the finished County Crossing Megabuild if/when it ever gets done ;)
Thanks. Always trying to figure out new ways to make things look interesting while at the same time being able to do 'em kinda quickly... solving problems is where pretty much all my "inspiration" comes from haha And I'm almost positive there's a mod that lets you change any of the settings in survival, including console access, on the Nexus somewhere. And the megabuild CC is coming along nicely. Last couple days, building on it is all I've been doing, and with luck I _should_ be able to finish up the building and furnishing today. I was going for a more sparse build but it kinda morphed into another pseudo-epic thing. /sigh Definitely going to have to throttle that back at Greentop.
That's pretty much the look I'm goin for; I like my stuff to "blend." What helps is checking out the stuff already in the game and really examining it to see how Bethesda put 'em together--my favorites are Lynn Woods, Bunker Hill, and Lake Cochituate since they have lots of examples in a single spot. :)
That'd be my guess, yeah; whenever I have stuff missing (or extra stuff) in my menus, it's almost always a mod issue of some kind. Maybe one of your mods put them in a different sub-menu?
Most of the megabuild settlements are pretty heavily modded; everything from episode 8 on, for sure, but some earlier entries might have that kind of thing as well. Unless I'm misunderstanding the question (which seems likely)...?
good stuff as always! I'm curious to know how your settlers fare with navigating these barnacle builds. I'm guessing they manage it well enuf? or do they just teleport in and out? thanks!
As long as they have two ways to get anywhere, and the geometry isn't too complicated, they navigate really well. Haven't had any problems with the barnacle builds. The megabuilds, though, yeah, they get lost a lot--Starlight in particular was challenging to organize so they'd be able to move around.
Oh wow, so even Bethesda's main focus for this game is bugged into oblivion with them not moving a finger to fix it. I am shocked (not). Picked up a few ideas from the video, gonna try it out later~
but i think nay will spoilt the fun. since your barnacle build is out it always small so the resource is light half the time only prb is tenpines but tat is like 2mth ago now so pointless in doing the additem cheat. i recon the only part is to get exotic legendary. other den tat don think it worth cheating
sac i just found a fk up cheat on fo4 survival. it by choosing normal 1st where u have console and use the additem cheat. after u done u switch to survival hahaha. as the shipment is technically paper so they r zero weight
You should really just get Place Anywhere. It would make your life so much easier. Wouldn't have to do all of the tedious group select nonsense. Also, nobody expects you to use keyboard/mouse when playing the PC version. You can plug in an Xbone controller just fine. Assuming you're running Windows 7 or newer (pretty sure you have to be to even run FO4), it'll detect the controller automagically and boom, exact same interface as console.
I actually enjoy the challenge of having to fight with stuff to get it to do what I want, as annoying as it seems to be. Not sure why. And my PC (laptop) is really close to the minimums req'd for FO4... I only really got it so I could use the CK and see how things were built in the actual engine (and loading the CK takes a loonnnngg time, for sure). ;)
I now put my turrets on table thanks to you
Awesome, great little build.
Thank you! If you like small builds, there's a lot of 'em around here haha ;)

Thanks! Glad you're enjoyin the show. :)
Ooh! I dig this one a lot! Nice work.
Thank you! Glad you're enjoyin these things. :)
A simply awsome build
cleverly done
That's a cutie, loved watching you put this one together :)
Thanks Denise. :)

I know all too well how megabuilds can be for settler nav :/ thanks again! keep 'em coming!
Nice job - and quick! :)
Thanks! :)

Liked the before the vid started
Love your way of building awkward structures with Vanilaa Items!

That's weird cause all I can get are the tall junk walls. Do you think one of my mods are interfering with the small junk walls ?
That'd be my guess, yeah; whenever I have stuff missing (or extra stuff) in my menus, it's almost always a mod issue of some kind. Maybe one of your mods put them in a different sub-menu?
Can you maybe make some videos with modded decorations or something, I'm trying to get some inspiration for a build

SarDeliac oh I didn't knew, I don't watch all the videos but I'll watch some of those thanks!

RIP Controller.
Controllers haha :/ Hopefully this new one'll last more than a year but I guess we'll have to see.
