- I had the pleasure of directing this series in the late summer of 2008, for my great friends at Plum Pictures. They were keen to emulate the feel of Jump Britain in style, and I think of the three programmes this is my favourite: my favourite music, favourite location, Wayne, Andy and Sue were fully into their stride, and of course five great finalists. Here's some blurb:
"Wayne Rooneyâ s search for the countryâ s best, young, all-round, raw street football talent reaches its climax. The final of this uniquely street talent competition takes place in a fitting setting, a world away from the X Factor stage or the Apprentice boardroom: the top three floors of a multi-storey car park in Stockport. Wayne - assisted by his competition sidekicks Andy Ansah and Sue Smith - have set two final, evil street football challenges in the car park, and there are some added twists along the way. The stakes are high; Wayne must decide which of the nervous, final five contestants - Henry, Ahsan, Travis, Jordan and Mohamed - is the rightful winner of the title Wayne Rooney' s Street Striker."

I find it hilarious how the finalists are still so crap compared to the standard that I would expect...
Tbh every second kid in Brazil would be better than them, the level of Football in England is low.

At first I thought they were good but in the end there skills were pretty shit but in the moment your obviously nrevous with roonry there and the crowd so its difficult!

you all talk bollocks, the best man won, clearly the last 5 where soo good, that on any given day we could have had any as the winner. The way Travis went down the rap was SICK OFF, Mohammed and NOT Ashan should have got through round1, but Travis almost hit every one! Travis the BEST by far.
@ih8mcfly thats andy he organised it all for us pritty much n he coriogrifys most of the stuff on t.v where u see players doin skill n day, he was usually the guy talking us through everthing n dat

The problem with English football is no one is intelligent in the game. There are no university graduates or middle class players, so our playing pool is too small

He didn't choose them because they were a little too nervous while taking those shots and if you're trying to be clever let me tell you they wouldn't have even gotten till here if that were to be the case. Footballers need to be confident and they were not simple as that.

Travis was by far the best on the day, mo should have got through round 1, but Travis almost his every one of the dummies hence. Down the rap he was sick off, but any one of the last 5 on another day could have won. Today Travis was best BY FAR

But putting that aside, I'm a great footballer (So I'm told) And I'm half Bangladeshi and half English (I'm an atheist too.) So do you think that if I prove myself, one day I could play for England or will my Bangladeshi nationality negate that from happening?
