  • On this episode of The Daily Slab, I talk about a recent service experience and just bring everyone up to date.
This is my first Motovlog using the Yi 4K as my only camera. The audio is recorded externally since the Yi 4K cannot handle an external mic, but the video is all done through the Yi4K action camera.
Sorry for the wind noise on this video, it was extremely windy and, in addition to that, I forgot my chin guard. The wind is also why some of the video shots are at an angle, the wind kept pushing my head. Very strong cross winds today. LOL.
The Daily Slab will include information on motorcycle commuting, motorcycle riding tips, and riding a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King.

How you record your audio? Are you using external on mobile and then merge with the video?

Check out Blockhead's channel. He is in Orlando and would give you a good idea of the riding scene.

All of the footage is from the YI 4k ? What are you recording? Which Resolution ? Greetings

Yep, all from the Yi 4K. The audio was recorded on a separate track, but the video was all Yi. Running 1080p at 60fps. Stabilization was turned on. Ran everything with a flat profile and color corrected in post. The video was upscaled to 4K.

Hi there, first of all, relaxed style of video's you've got. I got a question about your audio. How did you record the audio from your helmet? I'm trying to get it done myself but nothing seems to be working... It's all distorted when I'm talking.

Thanks. When I am running the YI 4K I am using a Tascam Dr-05 external recorder with a Sony ECM 3 mic. I run the mic through the padding on my helmet and have the recorder tucked down in my jacket. If I am using the Hero 6, I am plugged straight in with the adapter and a Giant Squid omnidirectional mic attached inside the padding. I am hoping to do a video soon that will show both setups.

Ah thanks a lot for your response. I also got the YI 4K and 4K+, but couldn't get the mic to sound normal. Was also looking into the Tascam Dr-05, so it's good to know you use it too and like it. Thanks again!
