I have the same DM Screen! and love it , I printed the options for shelves in the back to place all the minis my players will be fighting for the night back there, and i have 2 of the dice towers so players can roll secretly, I love this screen!
It is a great screen. I like your use of the shelves. A component that fascinates me for some reason is the tilting holder. Blew me away when I printed it (doesn't take much).
@@tonyhsloanejr when you buy the files to print it yourself its all included, to buy it preprinted you maybe could get it on etsy or somewhere like that?
My daughter converted a wooden toy castle from Michael’s into a DM including an integrated dice tower. She sponge painted it to look like stone. It’s really cool, but you have to stand in order to see players over the top. I thought about turning my old MotU Castle Grayskull into a DM screen, but it’s even taller
Shoulda shown which modules you used and what you use different parts for. Obviously you use the dice tower as a dice tower, but does the castle serve a purpose other than ambiance? are you using shelves or bins? do you use the tracker tops?
Excellent video! I laughed. I reminisced. I cheered when Alex made his appearance. Is it crazy that seeing the Levi Strauss notebook still makes me a little uneasy? Ya know, being sliced open by the Third Underling Mayor, falling into an abyss running from a red dragon, falling into an abyss running hell-bent for leather into the mouth of the skull--hmmmm I see a pattern here.
Well done Sir. After the introduction Alex did, what has he made? Of course, I'm watching these videos in reverse order, so maybe he posted earlier... Jim, do the superman stance, you deserve to be proud of your creation.
I normally roll out in the open. Otherwise I'd be too soft on my players. So If I am going to use a DM screen it will normally be something with some utility, so most ornate screens don't really suit my needs.
Hello GH - Not able to even consider it at the moment. My printer needs a rebuild and won't be up and running for a month or two. To be honest, if you wanted it painted, lights installed, etc. it would be a bit pricey (several hundred at least). Not from materials, but from the time involved. Painting takes a fair bit of time. The lighting is not too complex. But the actual printing takes weeks.
Sir, I have five words for you "Purple thumb push puppet Donkey" ( Sorry for the rest of you, this will make little sense. Perhaps the fearful Purple thumb push puppet Donkey will be featured in future posts. Or the glory that is "Arbanor" )
Yeah, I found that if I don't roll in the open I am too tempted to pull punches. I still roll in secret from time to time, but that's mostly enemy stealth rolls, or in social situations where I want the players to have to navigate the situation a bit.
Nice DM screen but I gotta admit the canned applause when Alexender showed up really made my night. Funny stuff.
Hey BB - this is Jim. You know I'm going to have to delete this comment before he sees it, right? :)
Now that's a Dm screen!!👍🤘
Thanks, John. I'm disturbingly way too proud of it.
@@theoldwarlock 🤣😅you should be!!
Pretty
Darn
Cool!
Glad you liked it!
Wow, that's quite the DM screen!
10/10 would watch old school DM show off screen again. Also bonus guest appearance by the legendary Alexander.
Glad you enjoyed it, Ben!

Where can I buy one with the shelves and extra tower?

@@tinaprice4948 yeah i would want one prepainted i have no talent for painting

Your daughter's DM screen sounds fantastic! For that kind of work, her players should stand while playing :)
Wow...that's an awesome screen there at the end! Cool stuff. 👍
Thanks, RDMR!
Lol the production on this one was good
Thanks, Eric!
The crash zooms. 🤣

Pattern? What pattern?
It’s really cool
Thanks, Erik.

Superman Stance assumed. With a dish towel for a cape, of course. Thanks!
I have the original one you'd print and fold from your printer :)
Awesome ... does R Bannor hangout on the latest screen?
No, he's going to get his own place nearby and then make appearances from time to time.
What ever happened to "theatre of the mind"?
THAT is a screen I'd call AWE! But nothing compares to Alex ON screen! LFMAO
Thanks, Marco. And Alex, of course, really loved your comment.
Pretty impressive. Takes a lot of room on the table though (?)
That it does, but it's definitely worth it. Keep your sword arm free!

how much was it in total? and where did you get it printed?
Printed it myself. Total cost (since I did it on my machine) was about $40 including the lighting.
How much for the whole set up if you print it for me?
.

...but what game information is on the other side?
That will have to be examined in another video. Maybe...

We'll see about some guest appearances for those two.
GM screens are unnecessary. Be open about your dice rolls.

Take all my money good sir...
You made me laugh! Glad you enjoyed seeing the new toy.
