Love the New York levels in this game. In this game, there's no government conspiracies, no struggle between duty and feelings- just a flat out fight for survival. It's fitting for Max as well- he finally knows what it's like to inflict the same kind of pain he's been living with for over a decade on someone else. I also love the sad atmosphere of this stage- you can just feel Max's sorrow over his lost family and how his happy life was just totally taken from him. Max uses his family's headstone as cover from gunfire- even in death his family looks after him.

To me, seeing Max taking cover on his wife and daughter's grave and seeing that same grave getting destroyed by bullets was heartbreaking. He couldn't even protect them when they were dead. Poor Max.

The way it plays in the graveyard scene fits in perfectly because he would of been thinking about them and what happened right before the fight started I like to imagine the music is the adrenaline kicking into his body but even with the all the shit going on around him he still can’t distract himself from the trauma

I highly doubt they let her clean herself considering that she's been in the same dress since the nightclub. Also dialogue implies they possibly could've SA'd her during her captivity. Then when her sister, brother in law and bodyguard arrive, she thinks she might have a chance of making it out of this. Then she just immediately dies.
So furious that i downloded this game a few years ago from the Playstation store for ps3 now i got to this chapter and its some glitch that dont allow me to start this checkpoint now i might have to purchase the game again wow... but this was the best one out of all the Payne series .

They'd signed and sealed their fucking death certificates as soon as they started shooting. As if the man has gone through enough - and now you want to desecrate his families resting place too? The last feeling of retribution as a player was to shoot every last one of those guys. Fantastic game.
It's been more than 10 years, but looking back, i could felt some similarities between this mission and "Bury The Hatchet" in GTA V. -Both happened in a cemetary. -Both are happened during snowy time. -Both happened during night. -There's alots of shooting.
For me, Hardcore, because you have only one or two shoot before you die, even though you have one last standing mode. In Old School if you die, you die, but you have a lot of bullet time and the enemies are less tougher.

I never use his family's headstone for cover, (I know he automatically goes to it) I always jump out of cover as soon as I get control.
