My only complaint about this game compared to OMD is that the series generally gave you 1 new thing *every* level. New weapons were common, but there was usually a new trap every level till near the end. Sure not every wall floor or ceiling trap was good, but it was NEW. I know its early days, but i really really hope they add more variety, and a lot of it. Im sure theres stuff tom didnt pick up, but 7 total items isnt... a lot
@@TheHorzabora Yeah Tom is doing pretty well despite losing some sections I've seen some other people playing earlier versions of the game and dying a lot
I was just about to write something similar. For a tower-defense game, having your trap choices be "wall shooter" or "ground slower" only is unacceptable. You don't even have a glut of personal weaponry to offset that lack of traps. I'm not sure if the "rogue-like" tag means that Tom hasn't unlocked stuff yet but I am not at all interested in getting this game for myself right now.
@@oilygarch Oh when you find derelict ships you have options to get new traps sometimes that's what deployables are. Tom just didn't encounter many or didn't pick those options. If you look at the trailers and dev videos you can see a lot of trap types
The windows update meme just instantly brought me back to a GTAV vid years ago when Lewlew was racing and suddenly got tabbed out screaming about his "MICROSOFT ACCOUNT PROBLEM!!!"
I'm guessing but it seems like those extra sentries are lives? I do like the look of this game but I don't know if I want to see the mainframe level 5 times...
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1616 OOOO very good to see more of this game, as indeed it is a very good time :D, shame it's only got 2 stages, but I do hope we get more :D Ooo, I just noticed that the enemies try to grab on to save themselves when being sucked out the window, a fun little detail Oh good to see Tom learning the layout, also really fun there are little secret shortcuts :D Thinking on fun things, I think, much like the windows, a single use blast door that would delay the enemies till they cut through might be fun I'm in the same boat as Tom, shotguns in games are fun, not only for the ease of hitting stuff, but also they are super satisfying :D Good to see Tom using the grenades as intended XD
I wish this game was on Xbox. I think this is co-op and I would love to play this with my brother. We had a blast playing Orcs Must Die together and he loves rougelike games. This would be perfect for us.
It feels like, if you're going to be stuck in the same handful of levels for every run, you should have persistent traps. Just fought in the mainframe? Gotta tool it all up again!
Yeah but I like to think the reasoning is the ship is strapped for resources so they get recycled into stuff for research between jumps. Plus the aliens would learn the trap layouts and counter them
Hope you play some more. It’s also getting a major update in a month. Also some tips, crouch for accuracy. And hang around corners enemies take a bit to start attacking but get viscous when they do so surprise them
Given your defending the same location i feel like defences you've placed should persist. To make progress feel meaningful i would prefer if the ship started overrun and as you fly around you're clearing the ship so with my first point if you ever need to defend a location again it actually feels like you've already been there.
I do like this game and wish to see more of it, however if you do a next run, let the mainframe fall. Thank you tom for letting us all enjoy these games through you ^^
… I really don’t get the appeal of this game. I mean, I watch the videos, but I love Tom’s desperate, panicked commentary in any game! Paid to lead, and all…

Well it is a rogue like so you end up dying and encountering new things but I agree. I hope they add more traps and enemy types
It’s actually insanely repetitive to judge from these videos.

Yeah they are extra lives for if you die but it would be cool if they added a co-op mode to this
This makes me want to rewatch Tom's and Sip's Orcs Must Die playlists!

Really cool OMD clone only sci-fi. XD Seems like tons of fun! Well played.
so it's Orcs Must Die but Bugs in Space.
neat!
Yay! i really liked this. Glad to see we get more.

_"Do we have the money to do this? Oh my god, we don't..."_ says Tom as he continues purchasing shotgun upgrades. Less aim IS more good after all.
Imagine this but with FTL narratives and crew
What a coincidence that Orcs Must Die 3 is free on epic right now.
those crew you are rescuing seem to be your lives not sure if you knew this or not

Sentry! Let's check this out.
