For people commenting that the audience was dead or clueless for not clapping or cheering during the performance, we were basically in awe of seeing these guys performing Transformers music live for anybody for the first time. Really, though, most concerts don't have people making bunches of noise during each song because they're trying to hear and enjoy the music. Also, from a technical standpoint, the microphones that were intended to record the audience weren't set correctly, so you really can't hear anything we might have been doing anyway. One spot you can (barely) hear is at 7:22 when Vince starts the coda with bits from Autobot / Decepticon Battle. And, of course, when we erupted at the end of the whole 1½ hour concert. Taken as a whole, despite the flaws in the performance, this concert was one of the signature events of the 3H years of BotCon.
elrich, where were you in the audience? Me and the friend I came up with were in the front row and you can actually make out the backs of our heads. Just to the left of center in the front row.
Been to several concerts and the audience always claps along or sings along. The volume of the performance is usually loud enough that it makes no difference
This is brilliant, love how Vince drops other pieces from the movie in and that intro is amazing. I know the crowd are being respectful but I think I'd be completely losing my shit watching these guys live!
This is one of the Songs I can Listen on a Daily Basis and never gets old... Love it since 1987 when I heard it for the 1rst Time... Greetings from Peru amigos
@@acollectionofthings Plus we're hearing the mix which was sent to the PA rather than a mix balanced for this recording (the clue for me as to just how bad this mix is is how "stabby" the keyboard sounds at the start of "The Touch" at the same gig). I also suspect he didn't have great monitors so he wouldn't have been able to hear what he was doing perfectly (in later years technology moved forwards which made things so much easier). We've got to recognise that those are some utterly ridiculous notes he's hitting and I doubt there are many people who could even pretend to sing it in this key. That's some serious vocal stunt work he's doing there! His more recent performances have been dropped down a key because when you get older you lose a little bit of range but that doesn't take anything away from what he's doing.
@@acollectionofthingsJust curious, since you've mentioned in other comments that you've talked with the 3H crew and that you were at the show, was that something that you heard from those guys, or just speculation?
@@RyanArchiveDump My comment was a mixture of direct reporting and personal experience with singing and being around singers. Two things stand out when considering the concert as a whole: not having the show memorized and being out of shape on vocal endurance. This became more obvious in the later portion of the concert when he was singing with the other guys because his higher pitches became more uncertain and he had to take more shortcuts of using falsetto. I certainly don't fault him for running out of gas by the end as it was a demanding show, but he didn't do himself any favors by establishing his style as always being placed in the upper end of his range. Still, I give his performance in the concert a solid B+ overall.
allmost but no. Back then audience listened the music. They didn't wan't to overlap the music under the scream they wanted to give as you can see headbanging in there.
They do clap, listen to the live performances on the Protoform Sessions live performances... Or watch this video... th-cam.com/video/Bokzjaw7-zs/w-d-xo.html

+elrichmaltah Ha! without reading your comment I thought you were all shocked (see below)
Do you know if there's anywhere to find the full concert?
Actually the crowd is inaudible because this is taken directly from the soundboard.

Just to the left of center in the front row.

Stan Bush & Vince DiCola. absolute Legends. (Stan looking facially quite like Marty McFly here)
This is fucking magic. Thank you whoever you are who uploaded this.

fell in love with this song when i saw transformers...aww memories...got the song on my mp3 player:-)
Hahaha!!!, me too, i've got the whole album on my mp3 player 😂😂😂
This song just never fails to get me pumped, love it
Intro from Vince is captivating!
No kidding! It's amazing! This is so fucking amazing!
Intro from here sounds like mystery - turnstile
This is one of the Songs I can Listen on a Daily Basis and never gets old... Love it since 1987 when I heard it for the 1rst Time... Greetings from Peru amigos
Stan Bush's career encapsulates my life! Thanks Stan!!!
Thery are hypnotized by the music.
The music is so magical in the beginning, makes me believe I'm a character in a video game, and a character in a cartoon and anime!!
7:23 Vince DiCola looks so happy when he starts playing that part.
5:46 "Decepticons!"
hahha i heard it too!!
H P me too!!!
Where’s my dad? I’m not sure but that’s what we’re going to find out!
Deceps rule!!!!
10 years later the live action verse started
This is nothing short of absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting it!
This is gold!
i was so pumped i was driving at 110km/hour today!
LOVE that guitar solo
@7:34 sounds a lot like something from Rocky 4. I like how everything from Vince DiCola sounds like either Rocky or Transformers
Que cosa mas hermosa para consentir los oidos
There's no doubt that Vince Dicola was huge Keith Emerson fan. Both of the solos on this track would have fit perfectly in a ELP song.
7:21 I love this fucking part
True greatness
i can imagine the dialogue from the movie while he intro is playing
Whoa, this looks way more dingy than I imagined. I blame 1997.
@GuitarEkket86
They are in awe, and better that way, It creates better audio for the viewing
@johnedsel dood, the audience is quiet as a sign of respect hahaha
stan bush make the touch
Song starts at 3:21
Hmm, the last part left a persistent tought in my mind, that what the acoustic version of this song would sound like...
Awesome
I'm pretty sure this is taken from the soundboard, so that's why you can't hear clapping
Yeah, this is definitely the soundboard recording.
People who have never seen the film have idea how good the music score was.
did he mess up the lyrics right after 3:48? it's supposed to be "Think of all the things that really mattered"
directo amis favortios trasfomers
Transformers FOREVER !!!
For those of yo commenting on the crowd, they aren't real, they are cardboard cut outs... der 😂😂😥😪
siempre me gusto esta rola
Man, that is dynamite!
OH WENA
this looks more 80s then the 90s
Go listen to mystery - turnstile. The intro there sounds like Vince's intro here
Crying.
he loses the tempo a couple of times there, but fuck it, still awesome!
I have to say the more recent Stan performances have been way better than this, he must have been sick or smoked some serious stuff.
I think it was more that he hadn't put in any serious preparation for the concert.

For me it's the opposite, his voice is better there than nowadays since he got older

Fish are jumping today huh Danno?
Those weren't true Transformers (particularly Stand Bush) fans not singing, clapping or cheering at all.
I no. how are they just sitting there? it looks like a audition lol
@jamchew1982 hhahaa they're just respectful of the music!
If I where to see the great Stan Bush, I would not stand there like a zombie
it seems like there people standing infront of the audience with loaded guns
7:23
@neohubris guitar solo?
I'm so disappointed that the crowd ISNT in to this
@GuitarEkket86
03:22
was something wrong with the speakers? it sounded weird. the music video songs better.
Wow man. I don't like transformers but I absolutely love stan's music. Would have loved to be there!
Yeah he sounded like when I was a kid and didnt know the lyrics. lol! unforgettable song horrid vocals. iheart stan tho. It sounded good in studio.
Did they performed for mannequins?
Essa platéia de teatro ridícula.
Talk about dull, Daniel.
come on hot rod the ship's coming
Hot Rod look, there’s a hole In The shuttle
Hot rod get out of the way!!
minuto 3:35, la cara de Stan Bush... D: duro como tabla xDDD
is the audience dead??
Awesome performance. Crappy audience.

^NutcasE^ Learn how to write. Your point is incoherent.
Chino Pisces actually your sentence doesn't make any sense at all. And since we are in the internet the correct term would be typing not writing.
Chino Pisces No my little brained friend, you are an idiot.
Chino Pisces That is the best insult you could come at with? Bitch please get on my level, you tiny chinese brat.
If Adam Lambert sang this.... it would be epic
He was more than a little hoarse by this point, but he put on a hell of a show anyway.
Rodimus!
His voice...umm I don't know what to say what's wrong with his voice... Lol
DeusPayne
It's shit
I think it's the video quality bcs he sounded way better in 2016
I wish the people would CLAP!!!! or something!!!
+David wardale I guess they were megashocked to see these two live for the first time (I would have been for sure)
They were clapping, you could hear at the beginning. I think the audio is taken from something close to stage/stage equipment.
They do clap, listen to the live performances on the Protoform Sessions live performances...
Or watch this video...

My God, Stan Bush's voice sounded awful.
Ouch....his vocals are not good.....oh well. Ick. Out of practice? Rusty?
Too bad he ruins it by forgetting the lyrics multiple times.
