Awesome man, first youtube comment ever, and I appreciated the theatrics! appreciate the laugh! Been 3D printing a lot of these that are pretty great, balanced with pins or or screws, but suffice as an intro to the sport. Anyways, well done!
I literally just got my $30 Bali song in the mail 2 days ago. Also I took it apart and put anime girl stickers under the plastic handle thingy on the bite side.
Just bought kershaw lucha when i started about a month ago. Ordered a squid industries triton yesterday too start harder tricks without stabbing myself lol. Good videos
I love the Luchas design but man it is heavy. I’m not great at tricks to begin with but it feels so unwieldy. I don’t think I’ve dropped any balisong as much as that one. Very surprised with the fit and finish of it though top notch from kershaw.
I’m a beginner and zen rollover is using a wrist pass at the end and y2k is usually done vetically or when it’s done horizontally it doesn’t have a wrist pass.
You probably think I’m joking but that’s literally what I did. I went from a $11 “moon boat” trainer to a 51 and never looked back. What should I get next?under ~250 I like light knives and good warranties.
Love the videos only been learning for a week now on the vulp and have a squiddy wh showing up in 5 day can’t wait! Keep up the good work on the videos!!

This video was both professional and funny, I checked out your channel and was expecting you to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but I was very surprised to find that you only have around 45k. Thanks for the help and advice. You’ve definitely gained a new subscription from me.
In case there's someone from latam or any country that has fked up taxes, I could recommend getting the Cyoz from eurobalisong. It's technically not a clone (even tho it has a """"stolen"""" trainer blade design, like some people on Reddit said). It has zenpins, bushings and channel aluminum handles. Those are kinda rounded, perfect for fannings, and also has some lines like depressions on the handles that make it even less slippery if that could be a problem.
Beginners tip. Dont be mad and give up if the trick you are trying to learn is a little to difficult, maybe try a different trick or even watch some stuff on instagram and try to learn something. I recommend watching james hill hes a really good flipper
Although a lot of us learned on cheap Chinese clones they are often really crappy and not balanced and make learning extremely hard. I was amazed on how much easier tricks were with a more quality balisong. Saving up just a little bit more it get something more of quality is going to pay off in the long run. And there’s plenty of cheap options so you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars just to start. But trust me you eventually will 🙃
this ^^ 100% I had a lot of clones. then bought a higher quality noname and not a clone. much better but still shit. then I got a squid industries winter nautilus (in white and green. yes its very nice looking) and it is amazing. Im casually flipping tricks that took a lot more effort to do before. having said that its a lighter knife so im still getting used to it.. but if you know youre gonna be flipping for a while, it is far better an idea to buy something halfway decent to begin with. in the UK its harder to pick stuff like this up and we pay through the nose for the privilege but it is so damned worth it. its like night and day's difference.
Buy a cheap knife first. See if you get that endorphinkick and satisfaction after you fluently complete a trick after trying for so long. If so then continue, develop a style and do research on what kind of bali would fit your style (weight, balance, size). If you don't like than throw your knife away. Clones are the best bang for buck.
beginners 5 moves id recommend •basic open •backhand twirl (the closed position can make you go into the y2k or zen roll mentioned in the video) •the fan (a very lax move than you can keep doing forever) • Y2K (the meet the spy trick, also one of the most common moves but also very cool) •Latch Drop (can be used without latch, but its simple for returning to the ‘Icepick’ position, or the knife upside down, stabby stab, whatever) intermediate moves I recommend •sinsiters roll (if done quickly, it looks hella cool) •Choker Fan (a flashy move that is useful and impressive) •Half Orbit (can be used into other tricks, especially the full orbit) advanced moves I recommend •Hellbent (can be used as a cool transition and is very cool looking) •Cherrypicker (awesome for freestyling, and an somewhat easy trick to get the hang of once you know it) •Behind the 8 Ball (a flashy move but quite popular) •scissoring (another one that can go forever and used for freestyles)

I just dropped it on fricking toe.
@@sqwishyyy7416 RIP Lill Squanch toe 2020
I’d honestly expect you to have 1.2M subs
Unfortunately balisong is not a giant hobby
The comedy on this is so beautiful. I love it.
1:33 me when the teacher calls on me
Yup
Just bought kershaw lucha when i started about a month ago. Ordered a squid industries triton yesterday too start harder tricks without stabbing myself lol. Good videos
How do you like the kershaw?
I love the Luchas design but man it is heavy. I’m not great at tricks to begin with but it feels so unwieldy. I don’t think I’ve dropped any balisong as much as that one. Very surprised with the fit and finish of it though top notch from kershaw.
After over a year of practicing with trainers, I'm getting my first live blade as a treat for my birthday.
Slight correction: When you do a zen rollover with the bite handle it's actually called a Y2K rollover.
I’m a beginner and zen rollover is using a wrist pass at the end and y2k is usually done vetically or when it’s done horizontally it doesn’t have a wrist pass.
My number one tip is to get a Benchmade 51 as a first knife and leave it stock forever.
You probably think I’m joking but that’s literally what I did. I went from a $11 “moon boat” trainer to a 51 and never looked back. What should I get next?under ~250 I like light knives and good warranties.
@@mythowrose2742 squid Kraken for sure!! It's great
That is terrible advice
Love the videos only been learning for a week now on the vulp and have a squiddy wh showing up in 5 day can’t wait! Keep up the good work on the videos!!
Next: Learn how to shoot a Rocket Launcher because you watched "Meet The Soldier".
PLUS ROCKET JUMPING!
hello, i really like your content especially your cheap balisong video. It really helped me get started, this video was also helpful and very entertaining. Thanks for the good content and keep it up!
This is so awesome, we're glad our videos are helping you get into the hobby!
This video was both professional and funny, I checked out your channel and was expecting you to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but I was very surprised to find that you only have around 45k. Thanks for the help and advice. You’ve definitely gained a new subscription from me.
I find this really hard to do with a steel trainer, the knife just feels very heavy. The spy opening is the best trick to do with a steel knife
Dude! This guy is awesome! These videos are exceptional.
Alright so I wanted to buy a balisong, so I saw this channel. I subbed as soon as I saw a couple of videos cuz it’s actually really good.
6:40
For the returners trying to learn the combo, i know i wanted this lol
“Squid is pretty cheap”
I dunno man, 50$ isn’t so cheap to me
its on the cheaper side of the spectrum, with midrange blades running the around the $300 mark and higher end blades even passing 1k
Well what else do you want? A $50 that’s high quality for the price, or a $15 ccc that is a waste of money?
The production value on your stuff is immense, how the hell are you not at a mil subs?
Buy a cheap knife first. See if you get that endorphinkick and satisfaction after you fluently complete a trick after trying for so long. If so then continue, develop a style and do research on what kind of bali would fit your style (weight, balance, size).
If you don't like than throw your knife away. Clones are the best bang for buck.
Me: sees meet the spy
Also me after 2 months: “You got blood on my suit”
I just wanted to learn about balisongs and I found an absolutely wonderful channel
I’m sitting here contemplating wether or not I should get in to it and I realize I’m flipping/fiddling with nail clippers
"For beginners" just remember that something take time.
beginners 5 moves id recommend
•basic open
•backhand twirl
(the closed position can make you go into the y2k or zen roll mentioned in the video)
•the fan
(a very lax move than you can keep doing forever)
• Y2K
(the meet the spy trick, also one of the most common moves but also very cool)
•Latch Drop
(can be used without latch, but its simple for returning to the ‘Icepick’ position, or the knife upside down, stabby stab, whatever)
intermediate moves I recommend
•sinsiters roll
(if done quickly, it looks hella cool)
•Choker Fan
(a flashy move that is useful and impressive)
•Half Orbit
(can be used into other tricks, especially the full orbit)
advanced moves I recommend
•Hellbent
(can be used as a cool transition and is very cool looking)
•Cherrypicker
(awesome for freestyling, and an somewhat easy trick to get the hang of once you know it)
•Behind the 8 Ball
(a flashy move but quite popular)
•scissoring
(another one that can go forever and used for freestyles)
I think many people started balisong flipping because of TF2 and who ever starts because of CSGO is around 11-12 rn (with a trainer ofc)
Im actually 15 and i started from the lovely animation of the butterfly knife :)
Adam yea lmao
tip: listen to music while flipping, you can injure yourself with music playing in the background
Now that’s Badass
That “Meet the Spy” video is also what got me into Balisong flipping
“Well off to see your mother!” *french noises*
Anyone else just realize they watched this video 5 times already
7:21 what trick is that?
My special move
this channel is so unbelievably underrated
Plz post more videos
We try!
Brandon Baker u guys should make a video on glidr co balisongs
“Hey wanna see a trick?”
“Yeah sure”
*messes up to tricks and stabs myself*
“...cut that out”
God the scout with the spy's knive in the thumbnail
Never thought I would be watching a knife tutorial by a guy who looks like a he vapes (smokes the douche flute), collects Pop dolls and looks like a dated hipster (with top knot). Yet here we are...
I made my first one out of Legos lmao
lmao same, lego technic
same, lego technic
I got into balisong with lego😂😂😂😂😂😂
Holy fuck this guy is sooooooo underrated, production value is really good, love the comedy, editing is sick, good music and quality
