    I just wanna say thank you!
    I’m a white guy and have been trying and using your treatments and my hair is 1000x better than it was.
    I have thick straightish hair that is just past my shoulder blades. I had about 5 in cut over a year ago and decided that I would start actually taking care of my hair and treating it. I found your channel and haven’t looked back 🙏🏻🌈❤️😍🍾🥰

    Oh my goodness. Your hair is beautiful, shiny and lush.
    This is why I have been a subbie for so long.
    My hair texture is different from yours but the wealth of knowledge you provide fits every hair texture.
    Seriously, thank you. I'm not a product junkie and it's thanks to you that I am not.
    I make my own shampoo and conditioners using the herbs and clay powders because you provided the health benefits on their usage.
    I learned about the importance of MSM and vitamin C for hair growth from you.
    I use oils that actually penetrate my hair as opposed to those that just sit there clogging my hair follicles.
    I put my hair on a haircare schedule and it loves it.
    Thanks to you my hair that was once thinning, is thicker and way healthier than it has ever been.
    There are no quick fixes to hair.
    You have to treat your hair with the respect it deserves if you want it to grow.
    The fact that you provide all this information free of charge -- just blows my mind.
    So again I just want to thank you.🙂

    My low porosity hair hates almost all oils and butters. The LOC method is not good for me. I find my hair does so much better when I use liquid, cream and gel mix. Thank you for this video. I think we all get a little caught up in all the treatments, masks, and methods to take care of our hair. Keeping the routine simple and consistent is what will really get the best results. Ayruveda herbs have done wonders for my hair along with being active and eating well.

      My high porosity hair hates 99.9% of oils as well and butters are even worse. I agree that it’s most important to be simple and consistent- and to remember that for haircare it’s always “your mileage may vary”

  • @cfoster6804
    @cfoster6804 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Thanks for this. I used to be a product junkie for YEARS. Spent so much money on chemical garbage and each time after I used the product a few times I realized the joke was on me.😒 I am saving so much money by using completely natural things for my hair. I don't use chemical shampoo or conditioner. I stick with ayurvedic haircare. My hair is finally thriving. She is right though find something and STAY CONSISTENT! The race is not given to the swift.
    I wash my hair with an ayurvedic tea I make (shikakai, amla, aritha) and I use aloe vera juice (shout out to Indigenous Strandz) or rose water to moisturize and oils to seal. My nutrition treatment is a fenugreek tea rinse (this is also my conditioner) and my strengthening treatment is henna.
    Also, I'm glad she brought up clarifying. I recently realized I never did a hair detox before transitioning to completely natural haircare. So I did a bentonite clay detox hair treatment and that stuff took all of the crap out and left my 4b hair so soft, strong, and curls poppin'. I got to see my real hair without years of nasty chemicals built up on it. My oils and herbs work even better. I actually have nice waves at my roots! Try it if you need a hard reset.

Not the most natural way but it helped a lot. I’m working my way through my product stash. Resisting the temptation. Hmm love the vid but I don't totally agree. I think the nutrition treatments could be added to the moisture or protein treatments as "boosters". I don't think it needs it's own category. For example, I add aloe or shakikai to my conditioner if I want extra moisture. I add henna or bamboo or brahmi if I want extra strength. It all boils down to moisture and protein and finding the perfect balance between the two.

    • @FromAto4z
      @FromAto4z 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that the thing that was missing from the nutrition treatment section was that a lot of this nutrition should go in your body in addition to going onto your scalp and hair...in which case the third category should remain.

    Hey Ravishingly Radiant, and Healthy Tresses Girl. Ty 4 this. So I had major damage from O'deeing on the Dominican Hair styling techniques, the roller sets, blower and coloring. My hair became so brittle I sought out a Natural Hair Care Specialist to consult for the 'Big Chop'. She suggested I do at least 3 treatments after the 1st initial service (Aveda Products) which by the way were fabulous. Along w/color touch up, a fabulous cut and a silk press. I coughed up near 200 bucks including the tips (her and a young intern) who detangled my hair b/4 she got to work on it. With that said I am a struggling student, on a very strict budget and knew I could not afford such luxury on a regular basis. Although she did save my hair. What you broke down and taught here is a True God Send & Answered Prayer🙏😉:)

    ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️. That’s ALL U NEED! I doctor up a regular shampoo with rice water n oil. Leave in = layered DIY flaxseed gel + Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 + CP/GB-inspired oil mix. DIY treatments = henna tea, henna gloss bombs, henna, aloe mix: all pre-made n in the freezer so I always have (ice cube trays are my best friends). I use whatever I’m inspired to whenever. I try to use my heating cap every day for at least 10 minutes so that nothing sits on my hair. (Longer for treatments.) Started seriously doing this since July 2019. I didn’t have to wait long at all for the turnaround. I KNEW I didn’t have a problem with growth. MEGA retention cuz hair is obviously longer and thicker (strands itself). Thank u, chick.

    In all honesty consumerism a powerful force against the health of your hair, so it's really necessary to try and keep a simple solid routine. I know a lot of natural say I don't usually same products over and over but their hair gets used to it, I personally do mostly cuz I'm broke but I'm scared of changing things too much and then throwing my hair out of wack. I use the same shampoo or like that same leave in. I might in spend a little bit more money on you deep conditioner but I tend to use the same tried and true ones.

      I think it's good to have 2 or 3 options in each category that you know works for your hair so you can rotate or mix/match. What happens if you're out of one of those products and can't get a replacement just yet? I agree with you, no need to gave 100 products but having 2 or 3 options of a favorite shampoo, deep conditioner/conditioner, cream or gel, moisturizer, etc should give you some flexibility and help your hair not get used to the same thing. Sometimes companies change the ingredients in products to cut costs too so you might notice it doesn't work as well. Right now, I have 3 lines I can pull from...Camille Rose, Mielle and Naturalicious. I'm satisfied with those. I'm about to test Miche today.

    Love it ALL, especially about NUTRITION TREATMENTS - Love nature and DIYs. Will be ingesting your increasing Nutrition treatment playlist - love herbs and plants hair treatments so much right now!
    I do monthly Henna masks (Blessing CurlyProverbz Mwah!). I also try to spray on Ayurvedic herbs tea and Rice water several times a week, then Deep Conditioner glosses with Henna once or twice a month.
    My hair loves it, the herbs woke my dormant follicles in the old side patch I had from chemical and mechanical damage for years. I could barely pinch it, now it's going down my neck!! It was 1cm about 13-15 months ago, its now 12.7 cm LONG!!!!
    Looking forward to trying your Oregano tea and Parsley juice. Can't find Oregano plant, only the seasoning. So I made a tea of it and it also nicely loosened my bowels. Thanks!
    May I just point out these great GB quotes:

    I'd like to hear what you gotta say on MSM. Can you give us the best protein/nutrition treatment products of your opinion? I cut my hair to start over and I want to do it right this time. Have you talked about LCO and what type of products work for LCO. I do LCO and use a Leave-In Conditioner>Hair Cream Moisturizer>Oil (Is this good?)

    Love the video, continue the good work! Btw, do you have any recommendations on shampoos? Doesn't matter how much product build up I have, whether I use sulphate /free shampoos my hair feels like straw, regardless of doing a hot oil before cleansing. IT JUST FEELS LIKE STRAW😭. Why is that??

      reem soud that’s a good question, I color my hair and I use olaplex when I do. I’d be interested to hear GB’s take on it. My hair is thriving because of her DIY’s and I think olaplex mixed in my color helps minimize the damage that coloring does.
